This was when I was lookin' out for my sister and Ed's arrival, which was imminent. I happened to be thinkin' the same thing as that other old boy.
The Synch, once more.
And then little sister pulled up and I bushwhacked her photogenic self from my airy perch. But I got her to look up and wave, and that made me really happy.
I met them at the lobby door and escorted them up the stairs. We ought to have had the elevator running by now, but there's no help for that--it'll happen when it will.
We had a nice little jabber in my place (spotless and fresh-smelling) and then we headed out to do what all families do at birthday celebrations...we went to the PG&E office so I could pay my bill.
But that was AFTER we visited the Courthouse Museum and I gave them the benefit of my ten years or so as a docent. I've only been trying to get her to come to the place for that long! FINALLY, when it happens, what is the subject of the temporary exhibit...a recap of the Panama Pacific International Exposition and related photos of Merced County's participation in that event.
Lenna had her phone/cam, so I left my rig back at Middle Earth. When she gets the time she will send the relevant pics.
We went to lunch at Joe on the Go, a quiet place with delicious sandwiches and salads. Even Ed was happy!
Lenna treated, and thanks again, sis. Thanks also for the stack of T-shirts and the wonderful loaf of banana-nut bread, too!
Here is a photo of her grandson Connor at San Francisco learning to fly during a school field day taken by his mom, Jessica, one of the chaperones.
And here is the future president and his sax.It was a good day.
Tomorrow I turn 67. I've had me a good life and longer than many. Just want to thank the Lord for savin' me for dessert.

I asked Richard (not the little one) Alpert and he came up with:
BABALON (baby rhymes with something else)
Then some one volunteered
Babble On
Making his first appearance on the ST, I predict this guy will come to dominate all threads and occupy major bandwidth both On and OT. Get the boy some duck feet.

I must say it was sad that he lost his hearing for playing the organ so loud.
I lived in Livingston he lived in Atwater with his Grandmother. Still he was a great heart and talented player in my day.
Frosty the drummer went on to form Sweat Hog, ahahha and they beat the sh#t outta rock and roll. Great times when a concert was less than 5 dollars.

Photos from December, 2013.
I miss getting out and going places different than home. I revisit these old images from time to time and find new things in the ones I've skipped over in favor of other shots.
Shots from other days in 2013.

Yeah, yeah, yeah.
These guys were responsible for the ill fortune which befell the Fireballs in the so-called British Invasion of the early sixties.
I'm celebrating my 67th with A Bottle of Wine (vintage 68) from Fireballs Vinyards.

I've long ago decided that it's superior in many ways to the Paxton Winery's popular '66 vintage. It's also not as rare. And cheaper.

No, wait, this was supposed to be about the Firefall.
Let me go back and start over....
Or was it Bill the Cat & the Fur-balls?
I cant' recall the last thing on my mind two seconds later. I must be getting penile.
And before I forget, Happy Birthday, BOB!

^^^^Sweet Melinda's favorite song^^^^
Fortune, fame, it's no more than a game.
Win or lose, the cops expect the same.
Gravity, levity, both will fail sooner or later
And it'll really make a mess.
Let us pray to the Goddess of Gloom
She's so kind and careful
A thoughtful MFM is thinkin'--"Sixty-seven...I'm wonderin' what's next?"
And the ghost mouse replies--"Sixty-eight, dummy!"

Take your hands out of your pockets, boys.

All I have to do to dream is to sleep.
But what do I have to do in order to get some sleep?
Must I close my eyes real tight and count some sheep?
This problem is very, very deep.
So please be quiet and do not make a peep
While I go knock-knock-knockin' on the dragon's door.

Forty-seven years after that last photo was taken and his hands still crammed in his pockets.

Maintaining the Flames image as a car club..Jim Shirley's blue bomb, the Idyllwild Express, we should have named it.
This photo was taken on Memorial Day weekend two years ago, I just realized.

NO WHIT DUDE!
I guess we're never too old to learn something new, so here's a new one on me. I was wondering why the street was packed with cars yesterday here in Frilitoville.
Even after several years in Catechism and even a short stint in the Parish High School of Religion I was not aware that the Holy Ghost's return warranted a holiday.
Pentecost is a Christian holiday commemorating the descent of the Holy Ghost upon the disciples of Jesus Christ, according to the New Testament of the Bible. It is also known as Whitsunday, or Whit Sunday.

I was asked why no music? I can't answer. I didn't learn that yesterday.
