Euro -

I didn't look at your cossie video until after my post. I love it! Course you might have noticed the top photo of mine is actually a cossie. I posted out it out of envy and thought I was likely the only member of this cult who would know the difference. I would have loved one of those.

I did everything I could to modify my XR to be similar to the cossie.

I was a regular with Rapido Group - do you get parts from them?

How's the Cossie run?

Finn,

I made Russ up at rapido a very very happy guy, and bought one of his tremic t5 transmissions off him. ran it an xr for a couple of years, then swapped it to the cossie, when it got wonky i had d&d tranny rebuild it for me into a full dogbox.

the cossie is an amazing machine, though regrettably no longer in my possession. oddly enough, they are a slight disappointment, we put them on this pedestal, but in reality they suffer most of the same weirdness as a regular merkur, just sort of like x1000 in terms of pure unadulterated performance. mine had been very well gone through, most "merkurisms" eliminated, and performance at all points upgraded. sadly though, the buddy i sold her too hasn't had much luck with her engine managment, and she's mostly say for the last 5 years. i checked on her last year :) hoping i can buy her back next year!
