I was on a climbing trip with a slightly older woman in the Tetons and she started singing "Wouldn't it be better if we slept together?" as we were bedding down in her van. I can't remember who did that song circa 1986.

I was too naive to act on it...what a dumbass!

Lynne... that's not a line... it's the truth!!! ;-)

I'm confused. I didn't get what neebee was saying. Maybe it was a pickup line? would be par for the course for me.

Neebee, Gal, Explain what you were saying to Nature and I we are all confused.

Doug, somehow it is comforting to be clueless on the Taco. We have all these friends watchin' our backs and tatoos and piercings and.....

Speaking of tatoos, Thanks again for the tatoo I got at Face Lift, Happiegirrrl ...lol now, not then, Lynnie

hey there lynne and nature...

(at the earlier post)i was going for a "play on words"....
:)

okay, here we go:

step 1--in earlier post, i had first mentioned, nature, (real outdoor nature) and nature's trail...

step 2--fun loving, ol' nature (the sushi guy) mentioned he did not HAVE a trail... perhaps a tail... ?

step 3---aww, nature made me laugh.. so i figured he was just playing off the word "nature"... and his name, 'nature'...

step 4---so, me... who just loves to do word-plays, this was a fun set-up... (no pickup lines)though... okay, then.... nature goes most natural with:

nature's park...
natuare's way...
nature's cure...
nature's ecosytem...

etc, etc,

step5---then, i just applied these natures, to our sushi-guy nature, and how they might be used as if part of his personality, (asked in questions, though, not labeling him...) thus, giving out some word-play fun...

step6---hmmmm, seemed i was too complicated for ol' supertopo...

*thanks for the mention, ol' lynne, nature and all... otherwise, i'd have a "pitfall" here for all the readers to fall into... then:

why, they'd ALL need a "pick up line" for to pull them all OUT...

*did you get that one, or not... :)
(ooops.... here is go again)...

I was thinking out loud, I said I would hike up again with a sleeping bag to spend the night.

Well I have one sleeping bag and one insolite pad maybe we can work something out.

Most direct
I was 23 hitching Maine to San Diego 1978. I was picked up by a 32 yr old lady. Ask where I was heading and I said I have a map to a party on the lake (Tahoe) she said she liked to party and off we went. Sometime later that night when I made my suave 23 yr old move she said she would rather FK then kiss . Talk about cutting to the chase.

Dee now that darn tune in rattling away in my head.

Ana A good set of high beams work as well when properly covered..

Lynne that was me but we met the night before , before or after your break dancing I am not sure

Pick up lines blow.

Personally- I just point and say: "Have that one washed and brought to my tent".

If the guy escapes the handlers then it obviously wasn't meant to be.

I agree there is no "worst" pick up line when it comes from a woman. Best one I ever got was delivered from across the room. Remember Welch's in Idyllwild? I was playing pool when a waitress puts down a drink that I didn't order. A Tequila Sunrise if I recall correctly. "What's this?" I say. "Compliments of the lady at the bar." I abandoned my climbing partner for most of the weekend.

Not sure about the worst female line, but what about these (worst?)answers to pickup lines, usually the morning after:
 I was drunk,
 I (suddenly remember I) have a girlfriend/wife,
I am leaving Joshua Tree today,
 I start Salathe tomorrow,
I am sort of seeing somebody,
My (not so) ex won't be happy about this,
 You 're nice but ...,
 You're too young/old/crazy/energetic/intense/talkative for me,
I didn't know this about you (didn't pause to ask during the approach phase)
I am too busy to have a relationship (but one more tickmark on my checklist is good for my ego)

No wonder we, women, have our guard so high.
