OReily is pure scum.
Funny how you guys insist on calling the guy an unrepentant terrorist and on and on.
He's worked with tons of prominent republicans and was named citizen of the year in Chicago one year. Find a new boogyman fool!

In the memory of Ouch, can we just all get along today?
He would like that, although he'd probably have a clever cartoon.
I'm going climbing with my buddy Ouch...later!

Yeah Karl. Either Bookworm and other righties bought into the dishonesty perpetuated by the smearers or they are knowingly perpetuating it.
Which is worse?

Bookworm,
It is ironic. If Ayers were as dangerous as that Faux "reporter" and O'Reilly say he is, they'd both be dead.
It's also ironic that the police had to intervene to remove the supposedly law-abiding "reporter" from trespassing on private property. Who is the criminal now? Ironic? You betcha!

wow, bookworm!
That's a great example of irony!
But I do have one question:
Are you going to post something that might be relevant to this thread?
The reason I ask is because the unrelated slander makes you look like a fool. Kinda like McCain. So I just want to know if there was a point behind your post, or if you are just grasping at straws.

"This is what racism does."
ah yes...if you don't vote for obama, you're a racist
i assume, karl, that you always vote for the minority candidate...so if obama were white, you'd vote for the ticket with a woman rather than two men...and feel quite righteous doing so

That was just as asute as the rest of your wise words bookworm.
Look at the list, ignore the race element, and tell me what you think.

Any comments on Biden's more recent gaffe about Obama being internationally tested within six months?
What's your spin on THAT one?

This is news? It seems certain that the new president, whoever wins, will be internationally tested in a lot less than six months. The biggest problems being the interregnum between November and January, and Bush's utter lack of credibility to do anything.

Anders, that is NOT what Biden was saying. He was specifically speaking about Obama.
I really don't care how Biden tries to explain it after the fact. He is just backpedaling at that point.

Even if Biden said it about Obama, it applies to whoever's in the hot seat. And that seat will be hot, right from November 5th.
It was amusing when Palin, in her convention speech, compared herself to Harry Truman.
And now McCain is comparing himself to Truman, referring to the famous "Dewey beats Truman" headline in the Chicago Tribune, in November 1948. Claiming, of course, that polls aren't always right, and he could still win it. Same old same old.
http://thecaucus.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/10/25/mccain-cites-dewey-defeats-truman-hed-be-truman/
I'd have thought that McCain, at least, would know that Truman was a DEMOCRAT! One chosen by Franklin Roosevelt, at that, to be his vice-president. Certainly a moderate mid-westerner, but a Democrat. He'd worked his way up the political ladder, including eight years as a senator.
Few Truman-McCain parallels, and no Truman-Palin parallels.
Trying to keep political banter confined to one thread...

Absolutely. The real embarrassment is that the MSM just let him get away with this completely in the primaries. Apparently it's ok for a liberal to be racist (hey there Colin Powell!) but if you even just say something negative about a black person and you're not a liberal then it's daggers out.
