Chances are I won't be getting to Vegas until Friday afternoon. So depending on the Layton show I was leaning towards sushi on Saturday.

Well Prod if you can talk wimpygirl into being Whympergirl we could still pull it off basecamp style, but it sounds like few are willing to trade an unknown quantity against a known one. Still, if you want to go there are still a few virgin summits that Alison left behind.

Would it be too much to ask about the actual climbing in The Valley of Fire? I have this semi-rule about Sushifests/climber gatherings; I want to stress the climbing first. That's because I doubt 'our' crew will have any problems with the party/fun aspect. So Ron you are the MC; want to give me a clue? Short natural lines, short sport lines.....existing lines to keep us busy? Pardon me for inquiring, but inquiring minds want to know.PE

There are some 5.7-10 existing lines similar to Snow Canyon, but I want to bag another virgin.

To get to the BLM site you go down the strip past the Stardust to Charleston Blvd. Turn left on Charleston, drive to the edge of civilization (where the houses stop) about 15 miles?, then go another 2 or so miles until you see a Campground sign. Turn left and look for 2 hot chicks with 2 guys who are way out leagued by their girl friends. Then you have found Christa, Crimpie, Brass nuts, and me Prod.
Unfortunately we are currently heading home Late (Midnight) on Friday, I am looking into switching flights to Sunday though.

Is Kor not showing again?
I'm starting to wonder if Ron knows Layton, at all? I think he just throws the Kor carrot out in front of you guys to lure you all out to the boondocks, near UT, so he can have his own little party...! Really, it's just all about saving gas, huh? Be honest now. :)

Yo Goat etal,
We'll be in Vegas from 22nd until 29th. If there is a get together in VoF we'll head up for sure.
I believe Riley is meeting us in Vegas on the 26th? Crimpie and Brass Nuts I think are heading to RR as well in that time range.

Yeah, she's still not talking to me.
Actually I spoke with Layton this evening.
He was coming back from surgery when yesterday they were stopped and detoured near Wickenburg (sp?) because of a terrible truck/car wreck with fatalities but he couldn't find it on the news.
As far as T-day goes; renting a venue for a half grand and still hoping to clear a profit seems unlikely with so little time left.
I'd be up for a few days camping and bagging virgins in VoF, but I can do that most of the time and am not into organizing for a day trip. If you are a tick lister it ain't happening. I like getting away from the crowds.

Few people know who Whymper was even though he made the FA of the highest summit on earth.
Glad you liked it.

Maybe in a dream or a delusion... Or, maybe if this is a code name you have for someone other than Edward.

Chimborazo is higher than Everest in terms of distance from the earth's center.
Everest's summit pokes through the atmosphere more is all.

Chimborazo is also a total hike, usually done in a long day, with a technical difficulty close to the Whitney Trail.
*sigh* highest vs. tallest... Always a silly game.
If we want to play the funny games to try to make people feel better about smaller peaks they've done, let's give props to all of the people who've "climbed" Mauna Kea, as it is actually the *tallest* peak in the world, not Chimborazo.
