A new planetarium opens in town, and naturally all sorts of youth groups go to visit it. It's a modern facility, and so they have a wide variety of participatory and inter-active programs. One of them is where the kids all act in a mini-play, and each is one of the stars. They dance around and sing and stuff.

Joe gets to be Rigel, Michelle is Polaris, Fred is Aldebaran, Lucy is Betelgeuse, Amy is Sirius, and Shirley is Vega.

Shirley is quite upset by this. She really wanted to act as Sirius, which as we all know is the second-brightest star in the sky. She's squawking away, saying "I don't want to be a Vegan. I saw Star Trek, and all the Vegans were nasty and weird. I want to be Sirius, because it's a pretty blue-white star."

The program person says: "Now now, Shirley, you can't be Sirius."

This is one of my favorite threads. Where are you NATURE? So, Chewy, you did survive and now you're on to round two. Whoeee! Pray for your survival.

Mighty Hiker ..... great jokes as always....loved your La Canada ones.

So, tonight fresh from the CA garden...Lucious real tomatoes ...crook neck squash, zucchini and Japanese cucumbers along with hard boiled eggs....was going to use the word coupled with hard boiled eggs but did not want to get chewy on a rant. Big Smiles, Lynne

Skully, used to play alot of horse shoes, used it to practice slow pitch. Another fun thing to get into. Just went on line to get the specs for a horse shoe pit. Got the shoes. Life is filled with great stuff.

Have you guys ever played Boccie Ball? It's a kick out in the desert. Lynne

I have no idea what I was eating for brunch but being one of possibly 5 non Chinese speaking people out of 100 in the whole place I ate my fill. It was really good
Finished off the day at the Cherry Creeks arts festival walking off the chevichi (sp) Tequila tasting and other assorted Mexican dishes.

Full time Vagetarian myself...

Hey, isn't Vegan Pizza kind of oxymoronic?

But, hey, to each their own

Lynne Leichtfuss - I don't know. It just seems to me that Vegan pizza would almost always need some kind of meat. Bacon, pepperoni, linguiça, mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Just seems to be a waste to have a perfectly decent pizza with no meat.

Hey, how about a hot, juicy, fruit/vagetable pizza?

Lynne Edit: Just recapped this thread... I noticed that you take up about 33% of the posts.... Is it safe to say that you are one of them? Vegans?

P.S Nice new delivery service Russ. Love the strapong, and your pride flown out the back.

Sharmaceuticals... mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Jingy, how embarrassing, I must be having too much fun! Nature's Thread's have that effect on me sometimes.

Definetly not a vegan. Love, steak, lobster, chicken et al. Just in small portions. Hard to buy meat for one, so just consume when entertaining. smiles on a saturday.

An interesting philosophical point - is "vegan pizza" an oxymoron?

Chewy, we need to get you out of the corner.

Every time I pull up "last post" there you are ....saying I put you in the corner, which I think I did, but you served your time and you are out early due to good behaviour. smiles, Lynne
