Someone give me the scoop on this mushroom. 11,000 ft, sub-alpine, growing right out of the ice...

Here's some from this summer...
Anyone know what these are?
My wife stepped on a rattler in her flip flops as I took this one near Bridgeport. That was exciting, tell you what.
edit... that first iris was last summer. oops!

I think you're right. I'm coming up with the Sulphur Flower as most likely candidate. Eriogonum umbellatum, Buckwheat Family (Polygonaceae)
Flowering June-August, dry areas from sagebrush deserts to foothills and alpine ridges, BC to So. Cal, east to E. flank of the rockies from Colorado to Montana.
Bob, those Elephant Heads are beautiful. Never seen them in person.

The succulents and Orchids are my favorites.
Here's some Canyon Dudleya at Lava Bluffs, Calaveras Big Trees State Park, from late May.
Also on that trip, the Dogwood was going off in the South Grove
And Azalea was gorgeous along the River
But the one that caught me by surprise was this striped coral root orchid under a burned out log.
