Here are the last two cartoons from the trip. Enjoy!

We'll see what cartoons the trip to the City of Rocks inspire!

Love the story, love the cartoons, love the photos. Good stuff.

The only sandstone I've climbed on is an afternoon at the Garden of the Gods. Freaky stuff when you're raised on granite, but there is a pull I've been feeling toward the desert southwest.

Thanks for the inspiration!

One of the best TR's to hit the topo in a long time.

Fantastic. Sorry we couldn't make the party and take advantage of
that rope gun you are traveling with.

Welcome to the desert.

Work is a Tsunami right now--ahhh, the freedom of owning your own business.

Spent two months at the City o' Rocks in '91. Guess that means I liked it.
Remind me to tell you the Carlo Rossi story. . . .

Cartoons were a great addition. You've set the TR bar mighty high for yourself now.

Just got in from a training at the Black. Very green and flowery right now.

Peace,

JW

Just finished a project so I'm sitting here goofing off and reminiscing. This trip cracks me up. I love my 'confident' photo and the cranky-girl photo in this TR. Sums it up well. Still, it was a great time and I look forward to going back again. Guess I'm a masochist at heart. Bump.

Sounds like a good trip!

I feel for ya' Dave, I lost my last Boreal (last of many) hat at Josh weekend before last due to high winds while rapping.

I drafted a TR based on BrassNut's description of the weekend. I'm just waiting on BrassNuts to get home to get his okay on it - there are LOTS of photos - and some of the best are of Fine Jade...

Hopefully I'll get it up in the next hour or two.

BTW Crimpie, I have begun to teach my evil twin kittehs how to be crag cats. Harness, check. Cordelette, check. just need to teach em how to belay, and I'll be set.

Now if I could keep em out of my cheezy poofs. Mom! Kittehs being a dildo...

I got the guys TR posted if you want to check it out.

Denise - the cranky photos is hilarious and a good indication of how one climb beat me mercilessly. :)

Pente is preparing for her next cragging adventure - Red Rocks, NV.

That would be Pente the kittycat. She has four paw drive, built in crampons, and can dyno six times her body length - vertically. In a pinch, she can live on what she can forage from her surroundings.

I have it on good authority that she was being kept on a leash, notwithstanding the affront to her cat dignity, because otherwise she would prey on rangers, tourists, and sport climbers.

Now, what would be wrong with that? I say set her free.

FREE PENTE bumper stickers soon to be seen.
I mean come on a few less rangers, tourists and sport climbers.
What's wrong with that?
Here kitty, kitty, kitty.
