Ive been wanting to make a trip down to Vedauwoo for awhile, this looks like a good time to aim for. Any one from the Billings area, or going through/past the Billings area looking for a someone to pitch in for fuel?
Let me know!

Cool with me, let's get a head count, I didn't really 'get' where it is from the email. The one thing about the pay camp is that you can walk to everything, if this site shares that feature, it's way worth considering.

The benefit of going out to CR 700N is that it's spread out for more camping privacy and is only a mile away from the central area.

That spot you posted is always mobbed with other campers and is very cramped that's why it wasn't considered last year. I've stayed there before; it's just not as nice for camping as the original since the highway is only a few hundred feet away. It's also a favorite spot for the off-road crowd so can get very loud from the motorcycles and ATV's.

Since the Kingsbury's will be there for the duration I would be interested in hearing what Tom and Pat think. I'm open to all options but since I've stayed at both places, the original spot is much more enjoyable and provides a quieter setting.

From the way Eric is describing it, and for less confusion, I think I'd also prefer the quieter/original scenario.

We should be rolling in Saturday the 9th late or Sunday morning sometime, and sticking around till the following Sunday...

Hey eeyonkee, you bringing Laurent with you?

Yeah, I can probably get Laurent to come.

Funny poster. I'm glad I'm dressed up like I am and NOT like Tarbuster.

Hopefully Roy finds it amusing rather than offending. hahah
A bit of a strange creation...almost just slapped your head on the center body, but I just couldn't go through with it...

mtnkid85 EDIT: Unfortunately the brother and I have to do a bit of work on the way down, so it wouldn't really work for us. Hopefully you can make it though!

I'll probably be there just the last weekend. However, Scuffy, if you want to climb in the Denver area on Monday - say the Black Wall at Mt. Evans or something, I'd take Monday off to go.

Curt Gowdy State Park is about 7 miles down Happy Jack Rd. from the camping spot.

Swimming, fishing, & mountain biking...

Nice poster there Mr. Kingsbury!

I am unable to make this shindig, er, I mean ...Boogaloo.
Long-term persistent health issues require my attention.
Stable climbing plans are no longer in the mix.

Have fun wranglers!!!

B-Kiddo..As GB Smelz said. Vedauwoo does have several little creeks that flow to beaver ponds, but the beaver ponds aren't very pleasant to swim in. Very mucky with black oozy mud around the perimiters of the banks. Actually, there is a creek on the NE side of Turtle Rock trail with some small swimming holes, that I've seen kids playing in. In other words, if the kids aren't satisfied witht the creeks at V-woo, take them to Curt Gowdy and dunk them in the reservoir. Should be lots of rocks there to jump off too! Have fun!

Glad you liked it Roy! Sorry you can't make it, though that's understandable...I've been sending those positive vibes your way...

I'll do my best at the fun, and I try to snap some pics while I'm at it too...
