BTW, Hardman, when are they upgrading the Mac books? I'm buying one for my bro soon. I'm not kidding, it's not just more random thread drift.

Couchmaster - as far as thread drift goes, it's very fitting that it's Mac-related.
This outta get ol' Elcapinyoazz worked up nicely.
The MacBooks got a big update knott too long ago. I always check here:
http://buyersguide.macrumors.com/
Here's the MacBook section:
Since the MacBook Air got LED screens and Multi-touch trackpad, it's only a matter
of time until the MacBooks get them as well. But if your bro needs a machine now,
buy it now. There's always something newer and better on the horizon...

I don't get why anyone would succumb to Apples in your face, buy it cause it's cool and if not you're a fag routine??
You can build a pc that is three times as powerful for one third the price if you are willing to do some homework.
Apple is a lot like starbucks. Everyone got along with regular coffee before it came in this nifty little package.
Now it's fashionable. F*#king Weaksauce

Give us an example of what you can do to improve on the new MacPro

I could smash it to pieces because I hate Apple so very much :)
I'm an expert because I have owned three Ipods which all broke and gave me an Iheadache. They never honored the warranty which got me IPissed.

This is awesome! Now we have a full-on Mac vs PC battle on our hands.
One of the best quotes of all time:
"Macs get you laid, and PC's are for fart huffers"
From:

Edit Loomis is right. The new Mac Pro has the Xeon 8-core 3.2 Ghz processors.
Show me where you can even buy those, let alone something faster...

I'd rather huff farts than pay 2500 for a piece of plastic to get laid.
That's just ILAME

It's not Macs vs Pc, but operating systems against operating systems.

Thanks HK for the Mac info:
(BTW, Wills a pretty good guy, maybe somethings computer posts don't translate well)
One more point for the board re: Macs. Paying your bills with one is significantly safer for a person like my wife who hardly knows about computers. (I run a Win 2000 Dell that I still love).
I bought her a Mac and I've never been happier(keeps the kid off of mine too:-)

I was thinking of getting the one my brother would like. I already have the one I like. Dell produced it in 1999 or thereabouts. Dell Optiplex with Windows 2000 Pro and an extra stick of memory so it's got 512K. Has an aftermarket Revolution 7.1 soundcard with Klipsh speakers. It jams large, I can rock the lads off their asses with some old Zepplin and stuff. Ooofff Dah.
My next one will be an Apple.
