I will never dis a climber for wearing a helmet. This guy could have saved himself some brain damage, or worse...

Agreed. It certainly saved him from very serious damage.
Though he did suffer some (hopefully temporary and/or only minor) brain damage - a concussion.
You can tell that from his lack of memory of parts of the incident.

Locker,
You weren't the one who retrobolted the guide bolts on the top of Playhouse were you? What a shame they disappeared... :)

The guy in the pic is pretty much a moron but I have belayed off those same bolts because a party of six were running TR laps on dandelion, thus there was no room to build an anchor. The penji would suck hard but I'm not aware of any other option?

Okay, thanks for the heads up. Been years since I was last in JTree, and I don't have my guidebook handy. I just knew I remembered watching a lot of people do something funky funky there, but wasn't sure what.

LOL! That's about as likely as these guys posting here (or at least admitting it's them)...

"The Flake", last photo. I can't understand what the hell is going on here. Anyone have any idea?

I don't know if that is the same cluster I saw at Xmas on the flake, but it looks like it. In the case of what I saw, a second party started climbingup the a*#, and and then over the ass of the party already on it. It forced the first party to wait at the ledge to let the cluster clear out, as there was an orgy of gear. It was one of many F'ed up things going on at once. On the other side of intersection was the Upper Right Ski Track Death Belay, and I forget what over on Mikes Book's (something, but it is fuzzy).

The story was the the Noob leader had placed a 3.5 Camelot above his head and it had inverted cams. Then the guy below bouldered up to remove the good pro he had below.
