In looking at that map there are a few noted Kiosks (k). I don't recall, can we post something on them? If so should we agree on which one we'll use for info.

I think we all realize we don't get cell phone coverage out there.

I plan to leave flagstaff at 4AM putting me there around 9AM turkey day morning.

The pelted one and the guy that looks like a haught girl (riley) will be there tuesday?

Ideas on communication needed....

I have a suggestion for future fests, about dishes....

What about having a set-up put in place/refreshed on occasion, and the general idea that people should wash their own dishes as they go?

Put a trash receptacle, then a dirty dishes stacking spot, then the 3 bins(suds, bleach, rinse), and then a cleaned dishes drying/stacking spot...

Every so often, add some hot water to keep it nice and warm.

It grossed me out, the number of wasabi-encrusted dishes that were piling up in the area where you sushi chefs needed to place sushi for people. I couldn't imagine why anyone would just abandon their dirty plate like that... But of course, it will happen.

Still - If there is a solution(of dishwater!) maybe people would take the effort to help out. At least take the dirty dishes to the washing spot, even if they didn't want to wash their own dishes.... Others would probabky pick up that slack. That would also eliminate a big part of the "dishes epic" each day.

And - when the dishes used for suchi prep are placed in that cleaning spot, some people would ...probably....take it upon themselves to lend a hand and get a few run through.

The Splitter Camp site is perfect and can absorb hundreds. The turnoff is .8 miles past the Davis Canyon Road on the right side. It's about 16 miles from Newspaper rock and 1.5 miles past the Superbowl campsite turnout. There is now a small sign just before the turnoff (Creek Pasture) and there's a kiosk inside the gate. Best spot is at the far end of the camping area, on a bluff overlooking Indian Creek. Second best place would be on the left at the bottom of the hill. Would be best to send someone early to reserve

Climbers are ADD. Nice idea in theory. I'll try and set this up. I won't expect it to happen.

I'm more inclined to offer people a free night of sushi if they help out around camp. Happie, I owe you one free night next time - no argument.

Can I bring my dogs?

They eat babies, chit everywhere, and they will not stop barking.

....Wait! Bosco and Summit have been at every fest so far, haven't they? Were they not included in that contest you had about who had been to all so far????(It didn't specify 2, 3 or 4-legged)....

Nature - that offer is too kind. Well - if that will be the case, then I will insist on seeing about staying up on the do-it-yourself dish duty the next one I attend!

I wish I could be there at the fest; sounds like you'll have a memorable time. I'll definitely be following in ST land.

Good point regarding Bosco and Summit.

Sounds good Happie! That'd mean your next fest will cost you nothing.

OK: Here's the deal. Due to the law of attrition it is only a matter of time until Summit and I are the last Dog/Man standing.

So... of the three (baring a special appearance) who will be the last one to make all the events (with opening line).

Riley: 3:1
PMB: 2:1
The Doctor: 4:1

Keep in mind that we have proposed a variety of sushifests in the future. I thought about this and there are certain circumstances that allow me to post those odds - circumstances that I may only grasp. (The Doctor won't understand why he's the underdog until he think about making a particular sushifest we discussed).

Hi Nature.
What length of time do you feel is feasible to plan ahead for a Sushi Fest?
Trying to fit one in with a trip.

For you or for me? :-)

Tucson Feb 1st and 2nd is the next one at this rate.

Cozumel is after that maybe? (this might help with the wagering)
