Terry, You've had an interesting life, and from what I gather your still getting after it. I still won't forget my f---up on the Center Route in the Winds.
For what it's worth my score is 26 on the original list, on yours very low.
I'll be in London next week doing research on a future book- not about climbing.

The title of the book is "Murder Unpunished: How the Aryan Brotherhood Murdered Waymond Small and Got Away with It." It's a "true crime" about a gang murder in 1977 inside Arizona State Prison, but with a twist: instead of answering the usual question of "who done it?", this book answers "how did they get away with it." You can buy a used copy on Amazon for peanuts.
Jim Donini states with pride his accomplishments have all been made without a single broken bone.
Getting innocent people "off" is easy "Perry Mason" stuff. My client was guilty. Don't worry, he got his. Read the book.

TWP, yes that is a list of things that are worth being proud of having accomplished & survived.
O, it is derived from some fool propaganda generated & spread by the tool of the threat to our sort of free society?
I wish I hadn't played
Tradman, I'm sorry that you took anything I've said personally.
I love seeing what you are up to & my life is richer for your sharing your adventures.
I don't have facebook
I do not have any other social media exposure, some of what I was going off about was the double edge of the sword.
I think that this modern thing of constantly "sharing" comparing ones achievements and activities worthiness is a form of vanity &
boastful show-boating.
(again;not directed at anyone, & I live vicariously thru the climbing postings here there & on youtube etc.)
To some it is harmless to many it is undermining self-satisfaction & so causing unrecognized depression, ruining lives.

Gnome. not sure where your passive aggressive crap is coming from. You bash my post and then you brag and hint at your own superiority. I saw a simeler list on FB that I thought was slanted towards people who watched a lot of TV and did not really have much adventure in their lifes. I spit that thing out in a few min without really thinking too hard or includeing many adventures. Bummed that it came across as macho bragging. I was a PK (preachers kid) anyone familiar with that would know that you get a lot of sh#t for being a PK when you are growing up... Many of us compensate for that by doing a lot of stupid sh#t to try and fit in. I enjoyed TWPs list and many of the other responses. I get that many folks are too humble to play and respect that. I also regret positing the thing in the first place though some of the responses are pretty cool and would love to hear the back stories.

tradman.
Thanks for posting this thread. It has stimulated a tremendous amount of thought and introspection on my part about the meaning we give to our life. Everyone has a story to tell. We can learn from them all. We all have our own "crosses to bear." Being a preacher's son is one such cross.
So many thanks! No reason for regrets my friend.

nobody even mentioned delivering ghetto babies while standing aside from the meleee and the heyDailey day of Chicago '68 dnc riot action to do the immediate work of the people, the lifesaving help work?
no one mentions lifesaving clearing the impacted bowels of a long-lost into dementia loved one in poor people elder care and then being zen enough to not go full postal on the board of profiteers? what a bunch of daisies.
no one mentions that s. price MP thread on humility and the imposibility of recognizing and honoring the invisible battles that all peoples with whom we interact face and fight in daily?
weak list tradman. ;-) you too NutAgain. ;-)
yo Nut! wanna come do an outfitted GC oar trip in August? should be fairly cheap overall as far as outfitters go. you would be the STRANGEr though, :-) you can ride on my rig.

Yeah, this is a tough crowd. Suck it up, buttercup. Quit being such a thin-skinned little nancy boy. Climbin' ain't fer pussies.
No.
Wait.
It's not the 80s anymore. Right?
I forgot. That kind of talk is no longer acceptable... or even tolerated. Gettin' old ain't fer pussies.
Just kidding. Nice idea for an OP. I give it a solid B. Good effort. Everybody's a critic these days. Just roll with it.
Oh yeah - Hat trick - not the same as velvet hat trick.
