We are absolutely NOT having discussions concerning climbing and me anymore, here on ST. Last time we did so, it caused a veritable firestore.
Who says. And who cares about a firestorm. Miht get out there. Till you do theere will always be this big elephant on the edge of all your posts.

I am merely a pseudonym.

So the "cut the grass"-never could spell in French-was USAF/SAR?
-got it (I thought you meant something more recently upthread)
But, back when THAT came up, the only one I could think of who had talked (extensively) about being ex-USAF was DMT. Then he came in with the "Swing and a miss," comment. How did he know that? I thought, in my wee little 8-k pea brain. I felt pretty smart for a while, but got distracted, or moved on to other theories, or had to change a diaper, or something.
what's the textbook about/ You probably need an experienced freelance copyeditor-spul chucker.

"He was stationed in Minot, ND"
Turd and me were in Grand Forks, ND. We had KC-135s and SAR C-54s.
Also flew cover for U2s going over the North Pole.

Lois, are you suggesting DMT is burdened with hubris?

or wait, Dr. Kodos has yet to state he is not turd. Turd has yet to state he is not Dr. Kodos. Done deal folks, can we talk about meds from Canada now and again?
Or wait, where is DMT? DMT has yet to state he is not turd and turd has yet to state he is not DMT.
Truckee is a cool little place. I don't know where it is but I enjoyed the visit.

What do I know? But, it seems possible that you may be adhering too tightly to some ideas about 'what happened' that may make it hard to see past theoretical limitations predicted by said assumptions.
Ask yourself What would Columbo/Pyotr Petrovich Pofiry/Socrates (all three same guy more or less) do? Sounds flip, but I am serious.
I vote for scenario#4 as it could mean none of the above/a comibination of the above.

"Your basically saying anything can happen."
-Though that is always true, I'm NOT saying that at all. I have my own idea, I don't KNOW, anything, but it would demand you reassess some of your givens about what actually happened, how you evaluated some of the interactions of various players. I'm saying look at the events as they happened and hold off on saying, "X did Y because of Z" (and the z jumped in to help y) More useful to think event X then Y then Z. Interpreting intent too early gets you locked in to a faulty paradigm.
"forgot about Truckee"
is that possible?
Like you said, I'm only 50, but I do remember where I was fifty years ago; 275 Minnaqua st, Park Forest Ill, 60466, 312 (213? the one that's not LA) pi8-3370, mostly in the crib in the front bedroom with the flowering crabapple by the window. {robably didn't have area or zip codes back then, and I remember the room because that's where my littl bros' crib was when I was 6, a time I clearly remember.

Of course you liked Truckee, Nature, you had the B-guide.
DMT said he was Jeff Batten, too.
