August West, the fact that Trump has the vocabulary of a five-year-old embarrasses me. Nixon's vocabulary was more adult.
Nixon is looking pretty good about now. Yes, he was a crook, but he opened relations with China. He also started the EPA.

I didn't vote for him but so far, I can't complain. Still wish it was Cruz in there but Trump is doing pretty well in his first few weeks.
Trump is a slacker: Obama had signed more executive orders at this stage in his presidency and he had sent to congress a bill for the bail out, enacted by the Congress in February and signed into law on February 17, 2009.
Trump is also a whiner. Everything is "so unfair!" Sackup. You're the President of the USA, forcryingoutloud.
Can any of us imagine any other President saying, "It's so unfair." ALL THE TIME!
Interesting tidbit: there is only a weak correlation between rationality and intelligence.
In the work I do, I have had business owners who are just like Trump. They are pretty much klutzs, but they had the wherewithal to just keep going, collateral damage and a string of bankruptcies be damned. Eventually they either fail spectacularly or sell for millions and live well. Most of them are very charming and all are smart, or at least smart enough.
I have also worked as senior executive in really big, international corporations. A CEO of a really big company will have skills to run the government because they know how to manage through an organization, but the rule is simple: even really successful independent owners do not have the skills to manage large organizations and big company guys fall flat on their faces in the rough-and-tumble of a family business. Trump seems to be running the government on the basis that he can manage everything himself. The downside of this is that there are many aggressive folks in the government who will do what they think is best, and have the statutory authority to do so: they will go off their own way, screw up something, and then Trump will clamp down, insisting that every decision will be made in the West Wing. All those conservatives who want a smaller federal government are getting it.
I am with Don: I am embarrassed. Regarding Nixon, he might have been evil, but he was not inept. That said, I hope that Trump makes good on every one of his campaign pledges and that the right-wing nut cases in the congress get their way in every regard. At the end of four years I want to see a clear success or clear failure.

On the bright side, I been gettin' mega-lovin' - like 9/11-evenin' caliber debauched delight - on the regular for the fact that a reality TV star what don't understand the nuclear triad has control of our military, through to the atomic teeth.
