They are not dolls.

They are rubber chickens.

Probably, but would I have to make a wooden egg first?

Hey, so I'm in love with that panned-out photo that Nature posted. I mean, just focus for an instant on the colorful parts of the rock -- it really is remarkable. I said stacked fins, but that's clearly not right. I see only one fin. More like stacked, vertically-elongated blocks or something. Forever War, the climb that Pamela "Shanti" Pack at one point claimed is the hardest OW at Vedauwoo, is the prominent crack on the far right of that central, awesome crag. The hard part of the climb, unfortunately, is obscured by that tree. By the way, if you haven't, look at the picture in the magnified view, do.

One more thing about that photo. This area sports some of the best wide-crack climbing at Vedauwoo, most of which is visible in this photo. In addition to Forever War (5.12 - 5.13) and Event Horizon (5.10b; assuming it is the one that I led) is
1. Bloodletting (5.11c), a a hand- and fist-crack gem which is the leftmost good-looking crack in the photo (middle-tier);
2. the crack on the left side of the fin down-low (5.10a);
3. a crack to the left of (2) that starts off as a 5.12 OW boulder problem
4. a 5.10 crack just to the left of (3)
5. a beautiful 5.10+ - 5.11- OW on the opposite side of the crag from the photographer's (drone's or Nature's) vantage of this formation

Isn't there an awesome 5.12 face and arete climb on the beautiful thin flake to the left of Greg in that photo?

Well, yeah, some bolted line anyway, at first glance it's more contrived than awesome, you. Could clip the bolts from two separate adjoining routes, but I haven't done it.

Uh, since I already missed the belay bolts when I was leading because I was facing the other way (Doh!), I ALSO would not be seeing the face -- so I'm not the one to tell you.

By the way, a climb that was not even on my radar is the obvious one that starts in the crack to the left of me and then diagonals up and left, relatively early.

Okay, so I've pretty-much been a jock my whole life and love a good challenge. Here's my challenge to myself. To lead or solo every one of those crack climbs in the same day. I already know that I can down-climb the other side. You heard it here. It's the photo -- it beckons me...

Vedauwoo is a family crag
I grew p here as a climber

It's a land of awesome, often surreal, natural beauty

A place to hang with good froends

Especially at events like sushi fest

^^^nice pics JB! What's that last one called?

Nature, nice job again! Can you post the vid? And when you comin to josh?

Man I love the Woo! I don't know which is my favorite pitch of all time Spectraman or Bloodletting! Sooo many fun rtes there! One year I went there to squash Squat 12b. Jumped on mothers horn, then 4th of July and with confidence went for a tall walk to Squat. When we reached the base I found a bitchen Kevlar knee pad, and some spanking new Varnaet's!
But Squat squished me..
