Trusting all goes well with you – and you still have good memories from your trip over here last year.
I’m attaching a recent cutting from our newspaper which I think should interest you.
I was surprised to find it because Glen was not known over here except to a very few aficionados, although the Obits Editor – who I know – is intrigued by climbers and such people.
Doubtless you’ll have known Glen, he must have been quite a character, and 103 isn’t a bad score to run up !
Perhaps you recall that at that Dinner last year Terry mentioned that I was working on a new ‘50th Anniversary’ edition of my 1966 book Rock Climbers in Action in Snowdonia.
Despite many problems – I was out of action for much of the year after my wife went down with Lyme Disease ( she’s fine now ) – I managed to self-publish the new book in January.
A fatter book with new layouts and an extra 60 pictures that got away back in ’66. It was an interesting exercise publishing it myself.
I’m selling it very low key but it’s ticking over nicely, attracting excellent reviews and will hopefully cover its costs in due course.
What has been encouraging is finding how many young climbers are interested in those 60’s years when it was all so different from today – but of course the climbs are still there to aspire to.

Saw this thread pop up.....almost 3 years late. Glen helped me, to the best of his memory, regarding Walter Starr Jr. and the search teams effort to find him. We went over several documents he had kept and compared them to Alsup's book 'Missing In The Minaret'. I made several trip over to his assisted living apartment on Lake St, from 2002 to 2008. He deserves a large part of the credit for assisting us in getting the Stanford Alumni Association to donate a 37 lb bronze plaque (which we place up on Michael Minaret in 2003, in honor of Walter Starr Jr.) and a grant from the American Alpine Institute for getting it placed and compiling research on "Pete" Starr's final resting spot.

Glen was a humble guy and always admired the climbers of today. Good stories: the FA of the 'Mechanics Route' on Tahquitz, his favorite climb - East Buttress of Whitney, and his memories of "grumpy" Norman Clyde. I'll miss you Glen and our friendship.
