Okay so I found out when I was cleaning the bathroom that a corner of the scale was on the bathmat, screwing up the measurement. Gained 4.4 pounds just like that.

Which means I'm in for the whole 10!

Weighed in. Absolutely the fattest by 15lbs that I've ever been in my life. Hyperextended my knee loading the car to go fishing (WHO DOES THAT?) off to a great start!

Down a pound from yesterday's (correct) weigh in, due to reduced volume in ye olde intestinal tract, I'm sure.

Planning some stationary exercise on the elliptical this morning to rev up the metabolism then a snowshoe with my mom later on.

Also: got some oatmeal on the stove. Thanks for the info Steve

Doing the same on the oatmeal front. It's also good for the heart and I'm going to check my BP in a few.

According to map my run we did about a four mile hike yesterday. it's pretty steep for a mile and we spent a good hour and a half fly fishing. MMR says I burned almost 2000 calories. Does that seem right?

The Valmont bike park is not very far away. It's a terrain course and looks like fun.

Good job everyone! We got this.

"The number of calories burned hiking depends in part on your body weight. In general, a 160-lb person burns between 430 and 440 calories per hour of hiking. A 200-lb person burns approximately 550 calories per hour of hiking. The more you weigh, the more calories you burn in an hour of hiking."

In general on "terrain", I expect to cover between 3 to 5 mph.
2000 calories for a 4 mile hike... seems like a lot.

Not if yer carrying drones, batteries, sushi knives, and the hopes of a generation.

Actually, I was carrying a salad and a tenkara rod.

Though the hopes of a generation is - especially this one - is crushing weight.

Well I did the exact same hike, and my phone said I burned 400 calories. Seems much more reasonable to me. i'm down 2.8 lb since yesterday - I guess the pre-weigh-in pigout worked :)

OK here's the list I think and weights for those willing to admit it (not a requirement).

nature - 181.5 start. Target: 169.5 and then onto 165.
Aya
labrat - 194 start
SC seagoat
Sewellymon - 222
clarkolator
skcreidc - 188 start
Pewf - 124.4
JMC
Vitaliy M. - 178.9

any corrections?

Weigh out is by 23:59 April 5th.

I think we'll skip the half way paint penalty as I have faith in all of you. Give it a few more days before side bets.
