savage i don't think twice.
i don't even think once before i post.
it just shoots outta my tips
on whims stronger than my tidal discipline.

as a matter of science,
within this new ecosystem of ether,
supertopo is a living entity,
composed of many cells;
we each being a unique building block.

we have dirtbags.
we have religious zealots.
we have artists and physists.
we have heros and cowards.
we have beauty. and disgust.
stoners represent.
drunks, too.
all of us here twirl an
inclined plane modeled after
deoxy-ribo-nucleic ACID.

and we all bounce ourselves off the mountain
to mock environmental stress.

so this beast evolves in response
to it's environs;
just like any other subscriber to fate.

avery might want to be chris,
and scratch his wishes on a stone tablet,
but even he and his control issues
shifts the center of this great blob's gravity.

I like Zepparella.

As far as I know, they have never deleted a thread, nor for that matter resurrectd one.

Don't it just make you feel bad when you're trying to find your way home and folks keep resurrecting your threads, thereby confusing your journey?

Anyway, not "your threads", just ones you started. Get hip dude, don't be a square. And do not ever post on the Canadian thread about Squamish. Not photos, not stories.

Delete your posts off the deleted threads. If that ain't enough delete your account. The rules is ST were here long before you were. If you don't like the rules then leave or do some thing to change it. I complained for a long time that st did not have enough climbing content for which I was ridiculed and laughed at. So for the last 5 years or so I have posted a lot of climbing content and kept it on the front page as much as possible while trying to ignore virtually all of the political and religious bs out there. Did it change anything? Probably not, but I am giving some effort not just complaining about how things are.

I delete my threads because I'm finished with them. I don't won't to see them come back. Is that plain enough, or do you need a few beers to clear your heads.

Wow, most people try to hide their selfishness.

+1 for Jaybro.

I believe that couchmaster's intent with his thread is to cause trouble. Not all threads are resurrected.
Example, my thread the other day is resurrected, but not the resulting thoughtful thread by Jim Brennan.

If someone doesn't have a sense of what to save and what to let go, how on earth instill that feeling in him? To save climbing threads I would understand.

Let nothingness reign and the worms munch the remains in peace.

On 30 September, the "Ebola zombie" rumor was resurrected with a post suggesting that a third victim of the disease had mysteriously reanimated. However, the site from which the image and story originated, supertrippo, is satirical in nature.

snarky, I have given more than my share. At one stage I had three NZ oriented threads going at the same time. Every pic in my collection I've posted. The only pic of Tobin that you couldn't already get on line came from me.

Your talking complete Bullsh#t. Don't take my word for it:

neebee:
"hey there say, Avery... wow, am still going to paint that photo, :)
wow, YES, appreciation for new Zealand...
and for your shares, too, Avery!"

this just in:
"You guys have it good down there Avery, thanks for the thread and pics.
always a great job, there... :)"
"In my next life I hope I'm a Kiwi. Love it down there, thanks for all the pics."

RyanD:
"More good stuff Avery."
"Thanks again Avery. Quality content man, keep it up."

John Mac
"Great pics. Thanks for posting."

ß Î Ø T Ç H
"Dude, you are speaking my language. All your photos are so rad. Not to diminish what you are going thru, but alot of us on the taco been injured etc setbacks. Looking forward to more topics/ posts."

Wade Icey
"wow great stuff thanks."

mike m
"Great pictures Avery."

clinker
"Astounding pics Avery."

donini
"Nice pics Avery! We're getting a N.Z. travelog. I was invited to N.Z. in 1977 br the 1976 N.Z. Torre Egger team. Couldn't make it then and to this date have on transited thru the airport in Auckland....definitely on my short list."

philo
"Avery thanks so much for posting up such wonderful and stunning scenery.
My daughter was in New Zealand and fell entranced with the place.
I so want to go."

Timid TopRope
"Beautiful shares, Avery. Thanks."

I'm not the only one to delete? snarky just deleted the post this message was written for. I'm sure he's waiting for the above comment. I'm also sure by the time this message is posted, there will be some pithy comeback like 3 2 1.

This is to all those people who judged me to be selfish.

I delete my threads because: I believe they have run there course or there going nowhere.
Obviously, I won't delete any more, there wouldn't be much point, would there.

Going through all these old posts makes me think that perhaps I have been too quick to delete. I'm sorry for that.

Avery, you have been around long enough to know how this place works. I think the pictures you are quoting me on were on some rolling grassy hills. Is that thread still up? I for one would love to see and hear more about NZ as I doubt I will ever make it there but would love to. Now demanding answers from people on here or complaining about how st works seems to get you no where. I think you are trying to participate in the small climbing side of st. You may find what you are looking for more easily on the political and religious threads. They do better with people that are very direct.

provoke another ..

. again someone was asking Avery to delete this Thread ...now those posts
the ones daring Avery to delete ..."Go on Avery do it you know you want to"...
have them selves been deleted. what follows from me is just my way of saying that

this climbing website needs diversity in content

and he will go away and that would leave us all with less interesting info from an amazing
mountain zone
be careful what you wish for

and Avery if it is any thing that I said...(delusions of grandeur in me )
I am sorry I was not jumping in to be any thing but sympathetic
that threads out live the hoped for direction of the OP is just what happens.
If the twists and turns that your thread takes upsets you don't visit that thread anymore

...or complaining about how st works seems to get you no where.

No problem with complaining, as long as one realises it's not gonna change anything. Except one own's mood - or sometimes it helps one to realise it's oneself whose wrong. Complaining about others on ST is an ego thing. Like letting out steam, then one can go back doing whatever, with the complaint out of the system.

No change, EXCEPT if enough many members are pissed off at the same thing. Female members and boob threads, for instance. :-)

I delete MY threads because they either outgrow there usefulness or they end up as mindless gibberish. I started the thread so I have the right to delete it.
Why else would there be a delete option?

I have no control after that. If someone chooses to resurrect a thread of mine, then so be it. There is nothing I can do about it.

Where I have a problem with is the motivation for the resurrection. Is it out of respect for what they consider to be a worthwhile thread with much to offer, or is it just out to piss off the deleter (As I strongly suspect). I no longer have a problem with the former, but I despise the latter.

I just thought throw I'd throw that into the maelstrom of speculation.

Avery, you're a fragile and sensitive soul, aren't you?

Howz about this, don't post anything you wouldn't want re-posted or revived? You know how many pics have been taken of me without my consent that have been posted here? With the intention of slandering me?

Quite a few. Lighten up, Nancy....
