Thanks for offering to facilitate the camping arrangements. The situation is a little bewildering for anyone who isn't local. For example, I just read the Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest publication about the Spring Mountains Recreation Area, and it doesn't list any campground in Lovell Canyon.

Right at this moment, my participation is in doubt. My pickup is STILL in the shop, and having a new engine installed. Gloom prevails!

P.S. The problems revolving around accommodations also are an issue.

Looks like I'm down, er.... In I mean. I'll be in my van looking to stay at the campground from Oct 28th thru Nov 3rd, then on my way to Cochise. See you there!

Can you put me in for one parking spot at the campground?

I think that you should extend the campsite reservation at least a day earlier, so that it will be available for those of us who'd prefer not to miss Jim's show.

Hey W.L. ,
Are you involved in the slide show? Do you think they (or you) could use a real pro lcd projector? I have a bunch of them, powerful and high resolution. Someone would just need to ship it back home for me because I am continuing on to Cochise afterwards and don't want to carry it with me.

Just let me know.

W.L.,

Yes, I'm planning on coming (Thursday), and am expecting to camp, if only due to a dearth of alternatives. Sorry to hear that The Hawk has flown the coop.

If anyone is in town earlier than the 31st, I am coming down from Squamish from the 20th-30th and will be looking for partners. Send me a message if you're around!

Weston, you're doing a great job. As long as we have a place to commune, we're good to go.. Now if you could get us a chef?? We'd be even happier! Lol.

Oh wait.. Move the slideshow so the rest of us could make it! ;) lol. Or tape it for us! ;)

Camping Beta? GROUP CAMPSITE E - Furthest group site from road and with the best bathrooms.
It's been about a dozen years since I've been to RR.
Is this the "new" campsite just inside the northern entrance to the park?

Put me down for a strong maybe. If I come, will definitely camp. Have to work out scheduling details with my wife.

Just wanted to let everyone know the mountain biking at Blue Diamond is some of the best ever. If you're staying an extended time bring your bike. Great 'rest day' activity.

I can guarantee four people who will stay at least thru Nov. 3/4. Myself, my friends Roger Shimmel, Jay Smith and Arne Boveng (ionlyski). You can also add Roger and Jay to the weekend group....Arne already committed.
Jay put up a lot of quality FA's in RR's.
