Hey Dingus, checkout my three other posts, they all highlight what NZ has to offer the climber or general tourist.
If you want a tale from me, I wrote a small account about a climbing accident I had in 1988. It's on supertopo somewhere. As you always appear on my threads sooner or latter, I'm sure you will have no trouble finding it.

Thanks Survival,
It's a very old pic, taken in 1981.
I've always liked it.

Keep em coming bro.
You never said you would tell my Pacific Ocean Wall partner John Dale, from Gore hello. We did the 8th ascent together.
Careful, you might offend me.....

Hi anita514,
How did you arrive at the conclusion I was "picking on you". I thought you would deem it an honor to be among such edifying company.
I can remove your name if you like.

Sorry Survival, I remember you mentioning John Dale. From a Kiwi point of view he was a guy that sprang from nowhere. I remember him soloing the Shelia Face of Mt Cook (3000 ft of thoughtful alpine climbing) in two and a half hours. I've never met him and haven't heard his name mentioned here for years.

John Dale is the real thing, trust me. I saw him do some sh#t on the P.O. that normal humans don't do.
He still springs from nowhere. He is a dedicated husband, father, climber, and sheepf*#ker.
I haven't seen him face to face for 30 years, and I would do damn near anything for him.
Thanks for answering Avery.
Edit: I forgot to say what a great sailor he is....

Always a pleasure to hear from you, Ryan D.
I initiated this thread because a friend of mine got obscenely abused, and took it (understandably) very much to heart. All I'm asking for is a bit decorum among the exchanges.
I swear to God, I'm not goading anybody Ryan, but after the hammering I've taken from certain people on this thread I thought they should, at the very least, be acknowledged for there "undeniable talents" in the field of argumentative vituperation.

Thanks Avery. After what I saw John do on El Cap, he could climb anything on that face, almost asleep.
