Some dykes can be a bit mannish, if you know what I mean:

The Manly Dike.
And some go on for a several pitches (even in dummy dome land where our multi pitches go sideways)

I'm not going to go looking for old photos, but back in the 70's, we named a similar dyke in Idaho: The Big Black Dyke!
Funny enough Fritz, that dyke is part of the same basalt intrusion which our Black Dyke, was formed. Mh2 was kind enough to post some pics of it up thread. The malemute is actually a sub peak of the Chief formation, thus Chasing Rainbows is also known as The Black Dyke.
Sweet pics everyone! The leap looks rad. Can't wait to go check it out!
Edit: yes Reilly we have parking lots.. ;)

Most of the Ionian Basin is composed of a type of granite called alaskite. This granite is mostly feldspar and quartz, and owes its light color to a lack of dark minerals. This is the same granite that is found in the Evolution Basin and LeConte Canyon. The far western rim of the Ionian Basin is composed of a darker, sheared, finer-grained granite associated with Mount Goddard. The granite of the Goddard pendant contains many dikes.
Lots of dikes, Mt. Goddard, Ionian Basin

What a stupid thread. You purposely make the title controversial(especially in light of the recent gay "marriage" news) and then end your post with, "Let's keep it PC"?
You're an idiot.

Merry Xmas nemesis. Sounds like you didn't get any presents. Don't expect any troll gifts around here either.
