Easy, Brandon. The silly poultroon who dashed that off is refering to another thread where all-or-nothing thinking has some of the followers by the short hairs and they can't see anything but machinery out there. It's no fault of their own, I have come to believe. They were simply never given to qustioning their own thoughts, as if everthing was true so long as they thunk it.
For instance, it's almost certain that sexual orientation is a brain stem, instinctual and involuntary response the same way the us straight folk yearn poon. Meaning sexual orientation is not an idea or belief of persuation nor yet the residue of a past life. It's part of a person's genetic make up.
An all-or-nothng thinker will take that and reason that ALL human behavior and subjective processes are perforce genetically driven. This, we now know, is in psychological/cognitive science terms, a thought distortion. Much as those who think a gay person would "choose" that lifestyle for the simple pleasure of being help up as a faggot, deamon, and rotton no-good delusional perv by all the geniuses on this thread, whose guiding light are excerpts from the 2,000 year old part of the bible known as the Old Testiment. But in typical all-or-nothig thinking, and given the vast differences between the old and new testiments, a fundamantalist would have to believe that the bible is entirely true, or entirely false, in a literal away. Had they ever actaully done biblical hermaneutics, they'd soon realize that primne biblical chapters like Song of Songs were never literal documents to begin with. But no one is acusing these people of being nucanced thinkers, or thinkers at all - and we can easily see why.

Yea, Bias toward the sin. Not the sinner. I don't hate any person for having homosexual sex acts. I get along fine with most of the "gays" I've met. Jus like I've met alot of nice people that were thieves. And even a couple of murderers. Other than that one instance of killing someone, he was a great guy. So do I hate all murderers and thieves? No just the mind-set
that brought them to commit these deplorable acts.

Well said. I personally, couldn't agree more. I believe that that being "gay" is all nurture and zero nature. The thought of intimacy with another dude makes me want to puke. Yet, as far as the gay marriage issue is concerned, just because it isn't my lifestyle choice, I think that people should have the right (not any church or the Government) to choose what they want for themselves.

Hear,Hear, I Agree! Afterall we do live in a country that was started by men running away from suppression. They were so inspired they wrote down a page of words and meanings
inwhich we are still trying to aspire to today. Some of which are; "We are all endowed by our
Creator with certain inalienable RIGHTS, among those rights are Life, Liberty, and the pursuit of Happiness." and, " All men are CREATED EQUAL" and " the sanctimony of MARRIGE shall be between a man and a woman through wedlock". These are words put together to propose a meaning. Written in 1776. Some 4000 yrs before that, the Creator
used words like " one man and one woman shall leave their parents and come together in a MARRIGE to become as one united. In order to procreate and start their own family".
Now these are all just words. But words come from the heart. And we can hold these words up and try to deciefer their meanings. OR we can jumble them up to make them mean what we want..
I'm more pissed off with our language... I can care less what you wanna do in the bedroom!!

Spent the weekend at a wedding with my (new) aunts, married with 2 kids. The most amazing children I'd met. Absolute respect and love in that family.

This is a completely ignorant statement. Homosexual sex is pretty common in nature, especially among other primate species. As a biologist, I've personally seen it dozens of times while working on a monkey research project. Female bonobos perform a sexual act together called "GG rubbing" that's so common a quick Google search would probably give you 10+ papers on it. You're already on the internet, maybe use it to inform yourself before stating things that are patently false.

Even if you believed that homo sapiens were the only species to exhibit this behavior, why would it therefore be deemed unnatural? Does a trait have to be found in more than one species to be natural? Where is the logic in that?
Even if homosexuals cannot reproduce together, it doesn't mean that evolutionary theory would decrease the occurrence of homo sexuality. Not all members of a species have to reproduce in order for them to be natural or normal. Billions of ants don't reproduce, however they have a very obvious evolutionary selection process occurring. Lot's of heterosexual homo sapiens are born without the ability to reproduce.
Genetics and the influence that our world has upon them is very complex, don't attempt to understand it without attempting to do some research.
