Mark, great job up there! Also, thanks for cleaning up the route and replacing anchor bolts.

Enjoy your coffee! (I'm currently drinking your special espresso blend I bought a while back).

Cheers,

Kim Schmitz once said to me, "There's nothing you can do to get in shape for a wall. But if you want to get in shape for ANYTHING, do a wall."

So true......

Have fun Mark - I really wish I was there:(

Its raining in Hood River. Hanging out on Yosemite granite in the sun drinking coffee in the morning, hard to imagine here.

Hey Hudung!

Got the stove today for brewing up that ZM Blend coffee - no hanging kit, I'll do it the way you do. It's ON!

Hope you kicked it today. Cooler weather and good vibes to ya!

Yes, I'm gonna die!

Did I mention that I dropped my Gri-gri at the end of my second day?

Too bad we didn't know about this earlier… We maybe could have asked a YOSAR guy to deliver it with a 3000 ft rappel….

Cheers to Mark

More detail later but the right lens of my glasses popped out mid pitch today and took off for the trees! I have perscription sunglasses but no spare regular set. Dang! Who would have thunk!

At the anchor I'm at now, the 16th, I took out FIVE crappy 1/4 inch bolts and added a 3/8 to the other two that were here.
I have only one 3/8 bolt left.

Mark - These reports are amazing. You really are a tough guy out there. Too bad about the lens. At least I know you have *great* coffee to keep you going {wink}. I enjoy your thread. Take care. Carol

At the anchor I'm at now, the 16th, I took out FIVE crappy 1/4 inch bolts

The next belay (17th) was only 2 very rusty quarter inch buttonheads, when we were up there ages ago. I kept imagining them popping out while I hauled and my partner cleaned. You may need that last 3/8 bolt for that belay!

Beta spoiler alert:
Purple TCU for the penji!
Then big hooks.
Pitch 19 = nailfest
Belay 21, belay was more to the right than on the topo and had hangerless bolts.
The free climbing ain't too bad, and there was decent pro.
