The Air Force does just fine spying from space on its own. It doesn't need NASA's help.

Which is totally awesome, by the way.

There are pros and cons of what NASA has achieved, but Werner, IMO, you are way off base again. Spy program? Perhaps, but much more than that, although your paranoia reveals a bit of you, NASA has achieved a lot in scientific research, but in your cosmic world, you seem to miss certain things, which is strange, as you are very intelligent.

What are the cost of the follies of war that the US has waged in the Middle East and elsewhere, right or wrong, true or false, than what we can put into research into our solar system or beyond, or Werner, do you think that life is just for earthlings?

And humans who only subscribe to your beliefs?

You are seriously losing it Patrick.

Just making a simple comment that NASA is the front for the spy program makes one paranoid?

You're whacked out crazy dude. You're losing it. And you're a reporter?

Holy sh!t spare us.

That spy satellite out there is reading the label off your underwear right now.

That's all NASA is about. It needs to make sure you're wearing your Fruit of the Loom or you're commie.

(Yeah it's a stupid joke the sentence above this one since you fail so miserably)

I now "rolls eyes" and see how stupid this place can be with these stupid ideas people make up in their heads and project them onto everything and people outside of themselves.

So Werner, I respect everything that you do, but you gotta get out of the Valley man!

Peace and love from a stupid American,

Werner, I have too much on my plate to get into a flame war with a man like you, who I respect and has done a lot for SAR, and is a damn better climber than I am.

But this is not about climbing, and I have tried to be respectful to you, unlike you who tells me that I am "a whacked out crazy dude". I would expect better from a man of your intelligence.

Please, do not patronize me. And by the way, I am not a whacked out crazy dude, as many people will attest to. But thank you for your thoughts but your meanness is not, shall we say, nice. You have saved a lot of people, thanks the heavens for that, but you are not a saint nor angel, and neither am I.

EDIT

Yes, I have questioned why some think your wisdom is divine, but I have not, I believe, been disrespectful to to you, I hope. But to call me a "whacked out crazy dude"... I have never insulted you, I believe, but you certainly have set the cat among the pigeons with that statement. Let's end it here and now. As far as respect is concerned, you always treated me like... in Camp 4, and I did not deserve such... ignorance.

Peace to you man.

EDIT again

From my take, you are not as centered as you can be. Though you may think you are. Illusions, shite they hit me all the time.

As for me, I do not think I will ever be centered, but I will try. But being a full-time carer with little support, it is a challenge to be centered. Having been an EMT, training and saving is one thing, try being a full-time carer for the woman you love who has a life-long medical condition - it ain't easy pal.

^^^^Captain or Skully

If that is directed at me...

Uhh or is it uhm? Whatever. I do not get your meaning, but then, I am just dumb anyway, having been a journalist for some 39 years in five countries... sort of like, being a used car salesman, isn't it? We all know that hacks are stupid and just regurgitate.
