This thread has to be a joke. If the film is going to be soooo good, put up the f'n cash yourself and profit from the return. You've got talent, right? You know how to succeed at this right? Where's your money?
If I put in $3k, screw climbing up a hammered out El Cap route with some stoner that can stand in an aider, I can get that for free any time - I want investment return and some voting right on the content.

Instead of making an accusation, please ask a question. Have we put any of our own money into the project? YES, we have put a lot of our own money into the project. The money raised from kickstarter will help, but it is in no way the entire budget.

Dude - you're looking for 5k.
How much are you putting in yourself? Where is your business plan?
5k is an insanely tiny amount of money for someone who is an experienced professional at anything. When I read that, I have visions of people who don't know what they are doing.
Therefore, IMO, anyone with 5k laying around is either going to gift it to you in liu of their wknd supply of coke, or they're going to want some control - or they're just not very smart - ie, probably don't have 5k laying around.
I'm just not seeing success here beyond getting it done with dirtbagging skills.
If you had a trailer you could show people, that might change things. However, you have nothing. There are no resumes on that site, no examples of past work, no plan for the 5k - nothing. I would feel like I am burning my money.
You want to list someone's name on a movie 100 people will watch? I can get someone to write my name in the sky over New York for less than 5k.
You're asking for 5k because you think WOS is significant - it isn't. If it was, people would actually climb it. You think Ammon is special and talented - sorry to be honest with you on that one. Hint: where are his sponsers? He should be in ads with Tommy and Alex, right? Your only sell is that you're an interesting story teller - ala the Jules Verne story in Scary Faces - but thus far I see no examples of this either.

No wonder Ammon never bothers to post here. Do you know him? If you did you wouldn't talk sh#t. This could be a great film because the STORY is potentially great. If you think the route isn't signifigant, well, "that's just like your opinion, man". Why don't you go climb it and tell us then.

I have no prediction on the quality of this film. As I said, there is nothing to base a prediction on.
The issue I have is begging the climbing community for money with zero to give back except the opportunity to spend time and be named with the narcisistic prince himself. Not even a worthy cause mentioned for any profits. I think someone is on crack.

JPL I started this thread, not the filmmaker. I do know him through climbing though and most likely you do not. I doubt seriously if you would say any the the sh&@t you are saying to the face of Wolf, or Ammon.
You seem to spend a lot of time and energy on something you profess to care nothing about, move along ..........do you spend your life railing against stuff you hate? Watch TV shows you don't?
Quit trying to be a schoolyard bully, it's getting sad and is so pathetic.
And Piton Ron....we know your credentials and they are impressive, but you're a one note musician, why SOOOO much interest in the sh@&ters . We get it you don't care about this climb or movie.....move on.

JLP - Ammon is nowhere close to being a narcisistic prince . If anything, he is WAY TOO modest. And by the way, keep to vocabulary you can actually spell. It's narcissistic. You missed an 's'.
