Great pics micro! Love the first one - and have always thought someone could have a hoot skateboarding down those slabs below Trapper.

These "secret" threads are always such a Catch 22, but this one is gaining momentum...

Caylor,
Was that you jumpin' off that big stack in that photo up thread? Is that the same stack in Front Range Freaks? I love that movie and that segment in particular.

Hey Batrock, could it be near... secret is safe! Love wandering around those hills!

Keep meaning to get back to this place. It's not unknown but I love this area.

I don't believe in "secret spots I call my own". This stuff is all i Oregon, close to PDX, great climbing if you like bolted stuff....meh. I think we should all share this kind of stuff with each other and not keep it "secret", although this was something I got some significant mileage in before any one else:-) Ben Priestly found it in the 80's and turned me onto the spot.

The first 5.15 in Oregon will be just to my right there (in another year or 2 LOL). The rap is to the right of the 5.10d which doesn't overhand so much, which we did to the left.

2 old guys. Bill Coe and Jeff Thomas. Check out the Chouinard adjustable padded gear sling. High tech!

Bill Coe and Adam Winslow after doing Bewitched with the overview of the rock behind them. Adam showed up late and rejuvenated the party like a force of nature!

Ben Prisetly and Scott Peterson on the 4th ascent of The Old Witch.

The awesome Kyle Silverman on rap 350 feet up with the Old Witch behind him.

Bill on the FA of The Salathe Highway on The Old Witch pinnacle. This is the only route which went all gear. Solo ground up......much easier than anyone would have believed.

Jim Opdycke Fa of The GingerBread Shortcut with Jeff and Bill

Bill Coe on that route. You know it's fu*ing serious when I have a helmet on. LOL! The loose stuff will soon be gone, and some crazy fantastic knob climbing will remain. SCHWEET STUFF! WOOT!!!!!!!!!!!111

Top of The Old Witch pinnacle below:

Jeff Thomas, great company and all around good guy, rapping into the notch by the Old Witch Nov. 2009. The sling I'd rapped off on my solo is still visible on top. We put in a seriously stout rap anchor later for everyone else.

2 most excellent dudes, Jim Opdycke and Jeff Thomas on the approach....we're all out of breath:-) We are all climbing harder than we ever have.....although the grades are significantly lower these days I'd suspect....LOL!!!!

One of the most righteous fellas in the state, Jeff Thomas, force of nature and First ascentionist, on a rare follow of a FA.

Buddy - the pot smoking bear, seen here trying to cover a cough and holding a bong, hanging out in the basement. Buddy has become elderly, isn't worth a f**k anymore, and was not invited out this trip.

This is in the process of being shared with the world. Hopefully it doesn't all go to sh#t. Tim Olsen will be putting it in his guidebook soon, and info can be had here: http://www.mountainproject.com/v/coethedral/106865073

If you are in the area, buy the book! Then get out and put up some routes.

THERE ARE NO ROUTES DONE YET VISIBLE IN THIS PHOTO OF THE PINNACLE BELOW AS OF 5-27-2011!!!! (Called The Steeple, abiet there is an easy way up the back, The Beckey route) This summit is @ 300 feet high and just uphill from the road. Look at dem knobs
! WooT!

I think I'd like to get out with Benny and do a route or 2 out here this summer. Good stuff.
