Have to disagree.

We live in the most litigous socity on the planet.

The trial lawyers haven't yet figured out a statistically significant way to sue over the health effects; so aspartame must be pretty safe!

Obesity is a frigging epidemic!

Give me the aspartame!
(unless you have phenylketonuria, then it causes brain damage)

Riley and I agree!!!
Margarine is pure poison, especially the trans-saturated variety. The metabolic system has great difficulty in digesting the crap, so it gets incorporated as fat in our systems. I haven't willingly eaten any margarine in 20+ years, ever since Dr. Thomas Dorman (RIP) described how his patients responded to switching from margarine back to butter: These elderly, thin skinned, pasty faced old farts became pink and healthy looking again. (P.S. Riley: he was a board certified cardiologist; practiced medicine in San Luis Obpisbo).
