All the more poignant, its true author died young, broke and unrecognized.

not trying to be a contrarian only for the sake of it. just working at staying grounded. sometimes gladiators (i.e. of the legal system?), or even accountants can help provide (just) love.

an acquaintance said that the King of Thailand was loved because he provided much love for the people. He said the King helped build bridges, roads, hospitals, etc. Also, a thai friend said the people in her country needed food. I have fond memories of "The land of smiles..."

Life on the farm is kind of laid back ... Thank [Gong Hey Fat Choy!]

John Denver was a huge drunk sad to say. Saw him more than once piss drunk at the Woody Creek Tavern. He Crashed his Porsche twice into the Woody Creek Bridge driving to his home in Starwood from the bar. Got out from under the DUI charges both times. His fine was to throw a benefit concert for the Aspen Ski club. He was so far up the Judges ass that lump in his throat was Johns nose. A real great Guy!!

if i had to play john denver songs night after night, i'd be a drunk too.

maybe the car crash was a failed suicide attempt?

Peter, Paul and Mary had a version of Jet Plane-
Does that mean Denver stole it from previous thieves?

I doubt it. Their prime was a good 5-10 years before his.

denver actually wrote jet plane. i made the mistake of attributing blue bayou to linda ronstadt on the roy orbison thread, but if you get that song on the charts, you practically own it.
