let the games begin....

Nature grew up in the Seattle area, but left before he started climbing. We fixed that yesterday:

What you can't tell from the photo is just how much the left-hand wall overhangs. And that there are no features at all on the right wall.

Heading out in a couple of minutes (grocery shopping, not climbing) but I'll try to get some more photos up later, of the climbing and of the minor festivities afterward.

I'm not sure. The ropes are usually just there. I guess maybe the Rangers put them up first thing every morning?

I really don't have a clue what you're talking about Doug.

But on an entirely unrelated subject, I've heard that a well-known Supertopo poster who's always posted under his own name is going to change his avatar to "Duke of Hurl"

strange thing this hurling/puking thing.

I mean that last mantle onto a dirty ledge was hard. If my name was Steve and I had Burger King for breakfast I'd probably hurl too. Not that any of this is telling mind you. And certainly we never heard the words, "I think I just sh#t my pants".

Haha!

Index IS a cruel mistress, but somehow we always find the masochist within to enjoy her.

And remember: eventually, the bottom becomes the top! Hehe.

Looks like Rattle Tale. Awesome choice! That crack gets your attention pretty quickly. Looks like you guys got a late start, though.(Shade doesn't start creeping onto it like that until about midday, right?)
