I've never found anything as glamorous or envy-inducing as an old car, hundred dollar bill, or working ipod over at Housekeeping, I'm sorry to say.
I did find a pair of boy's Spiderman underpants in the weeds at the edge of Housekeeping last year however.
I offered to give them a wash and dry at the laundromat, and donate them as a door prize, but none of Ken's staff seemed interested. Go figure....

Nita, I'm ready to help. I love anything Mexican. We could have chicken, beef, fish tacos, fajitas, tostadas.....Marinated chicken, flank steak....I have a little fish left from a trip.

or we could make a huge taco salad, I have a great receipe. How bout ceveiche and gucamole or huge bowl of mexican shrimp cocktail. I could go on.....what do you all think ? What night? We would need donations to cover cost of food. Fattrad ?????

Yep, Slim and I will be doing SuperTacos at least one night. I think we should do 2. Sh#t, I can eat tacos for a week...

I'm leaning for the FishTaco, but it's a good idea to cover the spectrum of meats.

We should coordinate with a group of people to have somebody/couple cooking dinner for a group each night. Communal dinners (it's the pinko in me). It could get hairy, but I think we can manage. We did at Meatfest, right?

And Nature makes it look so easy!

Anyway I'm in for at least one SuperTaco night, preferably 2.

Hello,

Thank you all for the emails regarding camping. I have put them all in a folder and will start answering as soon as I have the assigned site numbers. Everyone that has written so far should be covered in the area they requested.

fattrad, nita, bluey....did you look at my menu ideas ? What do you think ? Flank steak beef tacos are super especially when marinated in our Mexican markets. What about the rest ???? Lets Talk Menu. Also, I'm with Nita....if there's music and dancing that's where I'll be so let's have it on a "quiet" nite. :D

Lynne, figure what you will wear each day, have only three spares and just bring that!
Do the same for meals. Plan each one out and only bring what you need for those meals. This is so you will stop hauling the house with you.. You really need to get in touch with your lazy side so you won't want to haul around that much work. Plus less stuff is easier to keep track of and use. Camping will be fun again without the stress.

Love you,
Anastasia

I'd be happy to donate some artwork to the fund-raiser. I'll contact Ken.

Taco-fest sounds great. Any meat in a taco shell makes me happy.

Lynne- You get ONE suitcase this year.

East Side,

I did. I have been putting camping requests in a separate folder and will respond in the order received soon. I am still waiting for site #'s. I want to keep it easy for me. I may have a Tuolumne station and camping too.

Thanks for being patient. It is a lot of work and I need to take care of the art auction first to have the funding.

Ana and Justthemaid,

I love my gal friends on ST along with ekat et al.

Ana .... I swear I will carry out your orders. I am done with tms syndrome.
(too much stuff).

Skippy, maybe two smaller ones.....is that ok ? Glad yo contributing to the art auction. Super ! Know Ken's swamped cause he's got a big Valley job, so suggest you mail him a pic of your art donation and get it there asap.

I'm brainstorming about all the artists that climb. We need to develope a website/forum for featuring and selling all your special productions. lynnie

"You organizes a day's worth of clothes and pack them in one cube. . . that way you can tell at a glance what you've got."

What, exactly, comprises a days worth of clothes? I guess folks are cleaner these days? ;-)
