Don't joke about ruby ridge.
The f*#king swat team shot the kid's dog. And then they shot the kid trying to save his buddy.
A tragedy regardless of his dad's beliefs/actions.

I have been put off by some of RJ's post/rants also. He can be a little hard to take sometimes, but so are some of the others on here. He is obviously VERY offended. Maybe you guys should give him a break?

Yeah, he went off when I posted about people leaving their dogs tied up at the base of climbs or just running around while they are climbing. Just a quick comment and out came a page long dissertation about Cali's and Idaho and we all got dogs stay out of Idaho... I thought what the f*#k? But I guess I just felt kind of sorry for him.

No, Locker, climbing mostly brings out a bunch of really wonderful people. We've all got our problems, and none of us is perfect, but most of us try to be as decent as we can. And most of us know that it's worth accepting the imperfections of others in return for having our own imperfections accepted.
But "most of us" doesn't mean "all of us." There are a few in this community who are virulent in unwillingness to accept the differing views of others. But this particular case goes beyond even that, because here we have someone who regularly unloads all kinds of nastiness on others, but can't accept even the slightest criticism of himself.
So don't sweat it.
Sure, you maybe get carried away sometimes, and post things that would be better kept as a private giggle. But that's hardly the end of the world. If you'd posted some kind of unpleasantness about someone nice, then I'd be among those calling for your head, but to send a little message back at someone whose native language is nastiness... Who can argue with that?
