Bump
Saw Peter in the Owens Gorge the other day, fit as ever, doing laps on a 13 with no apparent effort. The dude is 56! The inspiration silenced all my age-related excuses, the way Lynn Hill might inspire a shorter climber. In a Walter Mitty fantasy I floated up my humble lead, imagining it was several grades harder, and I was Peter Croft.

Excellent interview. Great guy, full of humor and fun. But one quote really made me laugh:
"But 5.14 is just like 5.7; the holds are smaller and the route's maybe a bit steeper, but you're doing the same kind of thing."
Maybe! Just a bit! But it is true, it's all just climbing.
