Nice little rant there, Don...

That guy's superiors had been discussing since 2007 whether or not he was psychotic and capable of killing his fellow soldiers.

And what was the motivation behind the madness? What stirred it?

We should water-board him to find out why the hell he did it.

I doubt he could handle 185 of them, like Kalid Shake Mohammed did before he sang.

Funny, if our military kills tens of thousands of civilians in a foreign country that didn't attack us, it's called "War" on terrorism, but if a Muslim Soldier kills US soldiers, it's not "War" but "Terrorism."

Why be so dishonest with words? Didn't we try to get the Iraqi military to turn against Saddam and their fellow Republican guards?

Still, the more we hear, the more it's clear that this incident has more to do with the columbine shootings, where some nerdy misfit gets tired of being marginalized and loses his mind.

If he were a real terrorist, he would have had better opportunities to make his mark from inside and would have concealed his Islamic fervor better.

He lost his mind, pretty simple. Religion and ideology had no more a part of it than if anybody prone to any faith lost their mind. Cracked people misuse the concepts and speech of their faith on the way out.

I'm just trying to figure out where the hill were the MPs on the BASE?

A passing-by police officer hearing shots takes the guy down.

Our military is a joke, one that just needs bodies in uniforms for sacrifice.

Wes, McVeigh was anti-government. And a terrorist.

What do you call someone who tries to contact a known terrorist organization we are at war with and then yells Allahu Akbar before gunning down 40 people in attempt to execute them all? Crazy, of course. Islamic radical, sure seemed like it. Terrorist, I dunno, more like an Islamic suicide bomber with guns.

I don't really give a f*#k what you wanna call it.

As for the blog and the radical cleric, are you saying he didn't say those things. Seems pretty clear he did.

I've only read 1/2 the news posts at the beginning. What appears
lacking is who was shot?

I have experience with 2 poisonings. The first time by infidels, drunks, drug
addicts etc. Local agencies did not want to prosecute them even though I told
them I would testify and sign a affidavit? It should have been an easy
conviction with a 7-8 year prison term. They had no moral or religous
values.

The second time was more disguised and appeared to be a religious
mix. This one I'm still deciding on for the attorney general as it meets
false claims requirements. The police said it was too complicated, which
I agree with until the false claim was discovered. The mix was Christians
and a Christian cult. Discovery has not shown if they were involved in the
criminal and or civil action, though circumstances lead to believe they were
also, if they were not manipulated which is doubtful with the cult that was
present?

ya know, I almost made it thru the first page of this thread, then I found this one from fattrad -

"We, the US, are a kind and gentle people..."

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

wow....now I caught my breath. Care to back this statement up? Got any examples that make the United States seem, on balance against the spectrum of other countries on the planet, kind and gentle?

I love my country and all of that, but kind and gentle? Come on....deluding ourselves is not going to do anything to make the world a better place.

He was no pacifist, who said that

he was delusional, confused, psychotic, hated being in the military and wanted out

You're the one who said he was a right winger, moron. Had nothing to do with religion? What about contacting Al Qaida, shouting Allahu Akbar? What about saying it's a muslim duty to not fight other muslims?

Are you disengenous or stupid or misinformed?

At least Wes made a coherent point about others. Abortion bombers are terrorists with a religious bent. The try to terrorize people.

The sniper case is kinda mixed, he was trying to terrorize, prolly for religious reasons, but it's unclear for the most part.

McVeigh was just anti-gov't though. No religious bent involved at all.

The Ft Hood rat was a religious suicide attack. Crazy, yeah. But aren't all suicide attackers?

What also pretty telling is Baba and others' willingness to blame the military on this whole thing instead of blaming the shooter or the politically correct nature or our society.

It's the military's fault!!! This after Gates says we need to not over-react to Muslim extremism in our midst.

And Obama essentially says nothing.

"What also pretty telling is Baba and others' willingness to blame the military on this whole thing instead of blaming the shooter or the politically correct nature or our society."

Where did I do that? If there is any blame, an investigation may reveal what should have been known and done (in hindsight)

Fact is, some folks lose their minds. Could have been a combination. Folks treating him as the misfit that he may have been, reactions to prescription psych drugs, who knows? I'm just sayin terrorism is way down the reasons for the attack. You need to understand what is terrorism, what is war, and what is just folks losing their marbles

And maybe you need to admit Islamic Jihadisn and quit equivocating and dismissing everything as trivial craziness. He stated his intentions!!! As others have and acted on them.

Yeah, there are crazies, but sometimes it's done for bigoted reasons. Just like KKK lynchings. They think it's a duty to kill (what they wrongly perceive) an inferior people.

It may not be a Webster dictionary definition of terrorism, but you f*#king know damn well what I'm talking about. It's Islamic fanaticism. It's naive to brush it off otherwise. I think you know this but want to pull an isolated incident of Christian abortion bombing into it.

Bullsh#t, dude!

McVeigh had an ideology that was just as evil, repulsive and confused as that of any religious fanatic.

Edit: McVeigh was arrested and charged in 1995, and executed in 2001.

Yeah, but it was anti-gov't and an isolated incident. How many incidents like that have ever occurred in comparision to a global jihad?

McVeigh, I think may have been set up too. How many people are executed within 1 year of prosecution? He was definitely a wack-job but c'mon!

Will the current 'terrorist' be executed so quickly?

Anybody?.....

EDIT:
Alright, Anders, but doesn't that seem kinda quick? Charged and then executed within 5 years?

Still Bluering, if it wasn't a case of madness but premeditated violence, then it's still not terrorism since the targets were military.

Just what is it that makes it "War" when we kill civilians in countries that haven't attacked us, but it's terrorism when somebody kills soldiers that are supposed fighting a war against these guys?

Peace
