It was a long time ago, but I'm pretty sure I beat this guy one-on-one in basketball. Either him or his brother. Put a band-aid on it and stop whining.

My Morning Whine.
http://www.drweil.com/drw/u/ART00454/Ayurvedic-Medicine.html
Weil I'm on the topic of ayurvedic medicine...I'd like a dollar for each Andrew Weil book I ever rang through the register as a bookseller...I'm pretty sure that the symptom of COPD known as "tired all the time" is the result of loss of sleep, rather than, say, anemia or other causes. I'm lucky to get any real sleep.
Whenever, or nearly so, I lie down prone, the sinuses start emptying and I begin coughing and then need to sit up and cough and spit up, which leads to sitting on the edge of the bed with my head down catching my breath and thinking how miserable I am--for long stretches, until I feel myself keeling over sideways, many times.
And the same holds true of my sitting in the can. (I heard a line the other day from Victor Victoria to the effect that going to the bathroom is a religious experience and I tend to agree.) I've found that the "position" wherein I'm most comfortable is elbows on knees, head down, breathing much better, but falling asleep on the can's not "all that."
I use this position in the recliner, sitting on the forward edge, facing the floor, trying to breath normally. It seems to help.
I've heard from a friend that certain mushrooms are effective in treating breathing disorders like asthma. I'll be checking it out if it's not prohibitively expensive.

Here, Mouse.
I drink mullein tea and also smoke it instead of using my (steroid) inhaler. My asthma is almost entirely gone since I quit using corp. pharma stuff as much as possible. Actually, I realize I have not been on any corp. pharma for a while now.
Anyway, here is some reading on mullein for asthma and breathing problems:
Mullein for Asthma | LIVESTRONG.COM
http://www.livestrong.com/article/461732-mullein-for-asthma/;
Make Your Own Lung-Healing Herbal Tea with Mullein - Organic ...

Herb to Know: Mullein (Verbascum thapsus) - Mother Earth Living
http://www.motherearthliving.com/.../herb-to-know-mullein-verbasc#m-thapsus. aspx
Mullein tea is a traditional treatment for respiratory problems, such as chest colds, bronchitis and asthma. Mullein leaf tea is slightly bitter; a tea of the flowers is ...
I hope if you decide to use the mullein that it helps. Mullein grows wild across most of the US. It can also be ordered online, I think. I harvest my own from around one of my apple trees. I think the apple tree helps with the taste. I sometimes add a little silver sage to the mullein, and maybe a bit of mint as well. Let me know if you need more info.

Such cool stuff
AS zbrown said, a dada opus here (, Zen MASTER ! YOU ARE)thanks for helping
Beautiful flowers were my idea that zbrown was kind enough to link for me as my server is as slow as dial up and wait.
Then
to ensure that Man boy,
The great Latch an' grab Saint Sharma,
In his dharma pose,
would end this page . . .
He cut off his nose to spite his face & deleted the Link to valentines flowers.
That's alright as I have now restored the Link.
I hope to add a bunch of rat race stuff to save face,
(thanx Ms FeralFae), I'll try the tea.
also more the jJaybird(wife, for those not already onboard) than myself(allergies) has asthma
she /we both try to vary the various potions and pills to kill the mucus and save ourselves:
to remove mucus,
stinging nettle, taken daily as a supplement,
With (now over the counter ) Flonase nasal spray or, Zertec, taken daily to inhibit phlegm production,
In the later in the evening but not to soon before bed, has left Me Hackless till wracked,
(military for in place to sleep)
that leaves me almost, almost able to sleep.
But not in a prone position, nothing lets me sleep on my side or back and I must be on an incline.
The jJay bird snores as apnea prevails,
It is Mold And Dust mites and random stuff that sets her off, too.
thus concludes the Rx segment of our fare word play.

All I want is to breathe
(I'm too thin)
Won't you breathe with me?
Find a little space, so we move in-between
(In-between it)
And keep one step ahead, of yourself
--from Born Under Punches, David Byrne
Thanks for the advice and comfort--this "flare-up" of COPD is nearing its climax, I hope.
That is all I can hope for at this point...anything more, like mullein tea or reishi mushroom tincture or cordyceps fungi will have to "wait a minute."
I feel sort of like a grunt in the jungle,
going through this jungle of a life,
every so often getting my feet bound up in "wait-a-minute vines."
I stop and untangle the blasted things,
then rise up only to find my buddies have gone on,
and the bush looks all the same in every direction.
Now is the time to check the compass,
rather than to shout out to the rest of the squad.
I am beginning to feel old, as well.
I found a good copy of the February 2013 collectors' special of the Smithsonian magazine in the room set aside for reading next to the laundry room on the mezzanine.
Here is the final object photographed for that issue.
Baltimore seamstress Mary Pickersgill made the giant flag that flew over Fort McHenry. Francis Scott Key took some lyrics from a poem he'd written in 1805 and they were set to a tune from the mother country: "To Anacreon in Heaven," a popular English drinking song.

Is this the end of the line?
I've never been to Spain, but I kinda like Chris Sharma (Daila is nice too). He usually has good sound effects, no wet suit or gloves.
