hey there kari... as to photos, i have learned that you are to go to PHOTOBUCKET.com (hope this is correct, :) )... and also there is a post or two, by someone, here at the SUPERTOPO, that tell how to use this.... go through the list, and you will see them--they are easy to spot... good luck and best wishes...

how happy I was to see Faith's update- the picture that pat mees sent in with bobby holding up 2 fingers and then the update after- gave me chills and a smile. I will keep thinking and praying about you all-

Hey Bobby,
Well, Fall is in the air a little bit. The nights are cooler and we can finally get a little rest at night. Too hot to sleep is not so good. We will be in Jackson and surrounding area this weekend. It will be a nice little break. The Collier's have left now - all but Barron and the Read's. Things are starting to wind down for the coming Winter months.
Reading of your progress has made my heart sing. I know that you are going to make another mark on this world and I am waiting with bated breath to see what happens next. You are an incredible individual and we here know that you aren't finished yet. It is like you are holding up those 2 fingers to say "Wait, I am not finished yet - you have not seen it all!" Well, we are waiting with patience and love and we are all still here.
I will be thinking of you alot as we enjoy the scenery and the outdoors in Jackson. You are always on my mind each and every day. Kirt and I will be sitting talking and - all of a sudden Boom!- we are talking about Bobby Model. I would love for my boys to have an opportunity to meet you some time. You are truly an inspiration and I want them to be able to say that they have met one of the most incredible individuals I have ever known. This is another thing on my to do list.
Well, I just wanted to check in and say "HI" I know I haven't written much in the last couple of weeks. Just know that I have thought about you a ton though!!
Tell your mom and dad I said "HI" and I will be expecting Anne to pop her head in when she is in town again.
We will be thinking about you alot over the weekend!

Keep up the hard work! If anyone can stay strong through a climb this tough it's you! You have a LOT of support out here, don't ever forget that.

Thank you so much for being so diligent in your care for Bobby. I was a hospice nurse prior to getting my masters in teaching. I wish that more people had someone so caring in their lives. I really appreciate the long hours you've spent grieving, hoping, praying, wondering, and dealing with life at a more basic level than most get a chance to. It is hard to see through the forest sometimes, but the summit IS there, and I praise God everyday that you seem to be keeping your eye on that summit. Hang in there, take care of yourself, and accept any support you are offered!

Hi Bobby,
Well, our trip to Jackson was great!! We took a hike to Surprise Lake and we got some great pictures. We dedicated the hike in your honor. My boys headed out of Lupine trailhead with me saying "who are we hiking for today?" They would respond in unison "BOBBY MODEL!!!" They would talk about you with other hikers. They would say "We are hiking for Bobby Model today." It was incredible. Cache's shoes were a little tight and he cried about the last 2 miles out. I would look at him and say "Is there any other way to the bottom of this mountain?" and he would reply "No." I would say "can you do this for Bobby Model?" And he would say "Yes!" His spirit was great. I attribute some of his strength coming from you. He was a trooper. His toes were incredibly sore. He has the blisters to prove it. But he never gave up. It was truly awe inspiring to see my 4 year old make it all the way to Surprise Lake on his own 2 feet. These pictures are forwarded to you so that you can see that we are here and we are doing things with you in our hearts. These boys dedicated everything they had inside them to you on this day. I hope that you could feel the strength that they put forth and you pulled from that strength! We are here hoping and praying and hiking for you Bobby. We want you to know this. (I am unsure how to get the pictures to copy, but here are the URL's)

JUST GOT THE SEPTEMBER 4 UPDATE FROM FAITH:
Dear All,
Wishing everyone a lovely September with cooler breezes and blue skies. The
air is a bit crisper in New York with lots of sun shinning in on Bobby in
his new digs: a private room overlooking Central Park :-). Out of the ICU
(actually from last Thursday) and doing really well! Showing two fingers on
command this morning again and gearing up for a possible move to rehab later
this week or early next (cross fingers). While Bobby is still in a minimally
conscious state, he seems very close to the surface, more than ever now. We
are currently in the process of researching and talking through longer term
rehab options out of New York, but are still in the information gathering
stage, although we will definitely keep everyone posted as we learn more...
At any rate, your notes, posts, letters and emails are an enormous highlight
and Bobby definitely perks up to listen--more than ever now. So thank you
for these amazing messages that help carry all of us through. Your continued
support, humor and love make all the difference.
