Yes indeed ff. All depression era photos.
Sometimes we forget how lucky we are.
My mom was in her early teens and her mom died right around the time of the depression. Her dad had died when she was two (from working in the mines near Ironwood).

To my mind,
"most of the time" means @ 90% of the time,
or 54 seconds out of every minute.
"Several" means more than three.
Bob Dooley/Most of the Time

And "a few" means three, one more than a couple.
I never think in terms of "oodles" most of the time,
although last week there were several instances when I had few thoughts about anything at all.
My mind was a blank for a couple of minutes each time.

Back in the day, Lindsey Buckingham made this group f*#kin' awesome.

Then along came the Clintons. Shit!
That just came out. Sorry.
You can listen to this stuff all night and I might, except Lenna and Ed are coming from Sonora to break the chain of isolation from my family.
And she's giving me bags and bags of lentils, which Ed won't eat, but which I shall enjoy to the last lingerin' fart.
Sorry, again. That just came out, again.
I suppose it's not that funny, is it?

Some further a-doo-doo. Sh#t keeps happenin' while sleep ain't, not for me.
The Clintons.
"They should just go away. They should both just turn around and go the f*#k away."
Hillary: "Shacking up's all you want to do. You won't take it from me."
Bill: "How can I ever change things that I feel?"
I realize perfectly well that Go Your Own Way by Fleetwood Mac wasn't the Clinton adopted theme for the '92 campaign. It was Don't Stop Thinkin' About Tomorrow.
It's just so CORRUPT to take a fine vintage wine off the shelf and mix it with Cool Aid, the brand most handsome actors and politicians need to get elected.
It really put me off of politics permanently.
I loved that The Doors music, though I didn't listen to them all that much in the past, was not allowed to be used commercially for a long, long time.
John Densmore, the Doors' drummer, resisted the tempting offers promulgated by surviving band members Ray Manzarek and Robbie Krieger to revive the band and to license their music for commercial use.
Seriously, though, NOBODY CARES but the peeps of My G-g-g-generation.
It's not "selling out" anymore.
It's "good marketing."
Same-same, it's "turning a trick."

I take it then, that you won't be voting for hilariousC *. If you gonna go all fem on us then it'll have to be Girlie Fiorina.
A Printer in every pot. You can take the trash outa the company, but can you trash a company and then take it back.
RETURNS DEPARTMENT
Did/does Ron Anderson dig Sarah Palin? (haven't seen the Melody Maker issue on that one)
Elizabeth Warren? Who knows. She hasn't gotten back to me yet.
Warren was paid up to $90,000 as witness in 2000 trade case
Did she use the cash to pay off her student loanz? Is she a death or death panel expert? Time who tell, who has fell and who's been left behind.
In 1999 and 2000, the Justice Department paid Warren between $200 to $400 an hour to serve as an expert witness against a Canadian funeral home operator called Loewen Group
What was it about the only justice in the halls of justice.
-Jerry Rubin said that, but he's dead

On second thought the justice quote was actually from one of the great Bruce's of history, Lenny.
Jerry Rubin discovered very late in life that jaywalking is not only illegal, but can be quite deadly.

I used to run from UCLA to the Santa Monica Pier, and I wouldn't touch Wilshire Blvd. with Rod Dixon's feet. That is to say, I would not emulate Jerry's athletic endeavors.

Dis ain't funny, sonny. Oh, my!
David, a professor of biochemistry at UCLA, my ex-mother-in-law's second husband, was driving on Wilshire. He was heading straight into the sun when a woman appeared there in the windshield and WHAMMO!
His life was instantly and irrecoverably changed in so many ways.
And either could happen to you, driving or jaywalking.
Awareness is very hard to keep--there are so many distractions in this jungle.
I was thinking of how the eyes NEED to be where they are for horses to run fast. If you cannot see the ground beneath your feet, it spells d-o-o-m.

Is this for credit or no credit? The Advice & Cheese Shop has no credit established...we pay only cash to our vendors.
[Click to View YouTube Video]We do not require payment for advice. We gladly accept "donations."
Our decided opinion here at the Flames: Stay off of Wilshire, take Worcestershire instead. By all means, avoid Sunset, and try Naragannset instead. The Tioga Pass Road is open but take chains. Buy me a ticket on the last train home tonight. Then use it yourself. That about sums it up.

That Bushwalla guy could fit mine and Rod Dixon's feet intothose shoes.
I saw a woman get hit by a car at a dark intersection. Car wasn't going very fast, but I can still hear the sound of the car striking her to this day. I was in either junior or high school.
All that being said, PCH is far more dangerous than Wilshire.

Yes, let's talk of the Avalon Ballroom, Sutter & Van Ness, SF.
We'll talk in musical sentences. That's a lame lawyer/musician joke.
The old farts are excused, but only if they want to be, from gettin' up to dance (or look like they're movin'), but for the youngun's it's day rigger.
I was introduced to the SF music scene by goin' to the Av with the Rev and Larry Jones, where we listened to Country Joe, Blue Cheer, and Lee Michaels.
I think the last concert I attended as a youth was at Monterey College where I heard Country Joe again. He was always accompanied by Fish, of course.
I was with two twins that night, so I don't remember much about the music, so you'll forgive that, certain sure. Nothin' came of that, and I went home a virgin for that night.
I checked out Barry Melton on Wiki tonight. He's an officer of the court now, maybe retired by now, too. I won't hold that against him, times are not as they were. We can trust lawyers now. Especially lawyers who have played with the Russians, as Barry has with the band Crossroadz.
Вот Crossroadz . Наслаждайтесь !
Barry Melton was a co-founder of the Fish, ya know. He played a Gibson SG.
He also was an original member of the Dinosaurs, but I guess that's expected of fossils.
Here's a question. What rhymes with Avalon?
Here's the answer.[Click to View YouTube Video]They weren't fishin' down in Venice.
And Barry may have been trollin' at the Saloon, but I'm not 100% on that.[Click to View YouTube Video]In my opinion this group is tighter in the second video, but the jury is still out.
Of course these are not the angry youth of Monterey and Woodstock. Hell, they weren't angry then, just really-really stoned a lot.
Jerry Rubin, don't take it personally, but all that spew was just babble.
[Steal this post]
No, wait, that was Abbie. My bad.
