got out again in early July up by Whitetail in the beartooths. Mike there has been no snow where I live since early may as the peaks only get to about 7000ft but the Big Horns are two hours away in why and the beartooths are about 5 hours away in mt. Both ranges have got great summer snow with beartooth pass offering roadside access at about 11,000ft. When the tallest peak in the state is a stones throw away at 12,799. Might be trying to get my 11th straight month in August if things work out.

Rained a lot yesterday at Squaw Valley USA. Only the upper mountain is open - you have to take the funitel up and down. But what snow they have is in pretty good shape.

this just in, you probably did that just for the photo. But please don't ski with your kid on your shoulders. Not meaning to be patronizing, I'm only 54 years old and only recently became an adult, but still you shouldn't do that.

Haha. Semper that is not me and I don't know them. Just cracked me up and I agree that is not how to teach a kid how to ski.

Damn, that thing is toast. I think you are supposed to hang it from a tree now for the Gods.

Fortunately, a few parts of Montana have been in the early snow this year--Lost Trail got 29" in 48 hrs, and Discovery has had 3 storms that have dumped a foot each after the Turkey Day opening :-)

Hope to have 10 days of lift time in by X-mas...
