No Heaven or Hell's Amor
There's no hell for them who think no hell
Nor heaven for them that think no heaven
But heaven and hell's right here on earth
When Baldr's fate's for love or dearth
I'm n'er to quibble one's passion for faith
Or a woman's choice for me as mate
Though leery of both for lack of trust
Of the latter I'd not equivocate
There's no hell for them who think no hell
Nor heaven for them that think no heaven
But I'll take the five to twenty of your'
No proof of either's worth a war
I'm n'er to quibble one's passion for faith
Nor a woman's amor for drama's sake
Best leave me out of their best laid plans
Best laid at all's fortune to take
When it comes to love and war and peace
Victory's fleeting in the wake
I'm n'er to quibble one's passion for faith
Or a woman's choice for me to take

Good morning, Tim the Bearded Bard.
Thank you for another fine offering...to whatever god you choose.Come visit us at the Divine Pantheon of the Infinite.
We have a low-cost option for every budget, every POV and most idle notions.
The Flames of Merced shall prevail,
Order your god now through the mail.
#infinite wisdom, quotes of WBraun
The Sticking Point
They say God's dead but that just bogus
The Greeks wore tunics and the Romans wore togas
The Muslims wear burnooses and caftans, too
Beneath them all they're like me and you
Are we a creation of God?
Or is He our invention?
Figure that one out, my friend,
For an honorable mention.

I saw a note about him going to the hospital in Arizona the other day.
Then:
I read the news today oh boy
Four thousand holes in Blackburn, Lancashire
And though the holes were rather small
They had to count them all
Now they know how many holes it takes to fill the Albert Hall
I'd love to turn you on
No more Thrilla in Manilla
No more Rumble in the Jungle
1962 local hero Archie Moore and CC
Archie's been living off the fat of the land.
I'm here to give him his pension plan.
When you come to the fight don't block the door.
'Cause you'll all go home after round four.
1964 "I am the greatest"
1960's
Why should they ask me to put on a uniform and go 10,000 miles from home and drop bombs and bullets on Brown people in Vietnam while so-called Negro people in Louisville are treated like dogs and denied simple human rights? No I’m not going 10,000 miles from home to help murder and burn another poor nation simply to continue the domination of white slave masters of the darker people the world over. This is the day when such evils must come to an end. I have been warned that to take such a stand would cost me millions of dollars. But I have said it once and I will say it again. The real enemy of my people is here. I will not disgrace my religion, my people or myself by becoming a tool to enslave those who are fighting for their own justice, freedom and equality. If I thought the war was going to bring freedom and equality to 22 million of my people they wouldn’t have to draft me, I’d join tomorrow. I have nothing to lose by standing up for my beliefs. So I’ll go to jail, so what? We’ve been in jail for 400 years.
1971 Ain't no reason for me to kill nobody in the ring, unless they deserve it.

Ali's legacy was amazing, and he truly was a poet of the everyman. Watched his fights back when like so many of us here.
Respect.

Looks like you've shaved and slimmed down a bit.
One way out? One way up?
I ain't goin' out that door
Ain't but one way out
I ain't goin' out that door
If I get away this time
I won't be caught no more
Go eat a peach. Or better yet, some sauerkraut.

feralfae--I just missed seeing your post last night or I'd have stayed up to respond. The way the wind blows, that'a all.
Congratulations! You have the process down for posting photos now. And a cleaned-up area to sit and observe and recollect and rest.
I would certainly love to visit Faeriebanks. You can never tell what can happen, least of all when you don't expect something.
I have a question for you. What is your favorite dodge to escape mosquitoes when they come out to prey as you sit out there by the fire cauldron?
Nice dragons, there, too, that DJ confabulated and executed. Seems to me that he and the Rev would have been like-minded in their interest in metal working.
I like the idea of being in a flight path...I live beneath one here in Middle Earth. I lived beneath one out on Olive as a boy.
Thanks for sharing your progress in settling into your "digs."
I hope you will like this, with the violin and the scenic shots and the message.[Click to View YouTube Video]

Speaking of dragons, mythology, and other worldly beings...
I'm not sure what she is or how this story will play out, but I'll keep writing it,
to its tumultuous and dramatic conclusion, whatever that may be.
And so boys and girls, read here another weekly installment of...
The Flamenvix
(Hunger Flames)
part IV
I woke up from the dream again as my vision blurred from grey to white
The Flamenvix stood overhead towering above me in her light
Rising like the Phoenix metamorphosed from a volcanic pyre
As nauseating sparks of pain flashed in my brain like stars at night
The bludgeoning now began in earnest at a hurtful rhythmic pace
Striking me with her wingtip claws I was sure I would not last
Her eyes shone without pity as empty hollows in her face
As she clutched me like a vice with her foot claws holding me fast
I shuddered near passed out on the floor as she released me in a heap
She stooped to hear my racing heart and listened to my breath
And I dared not shed a single tear to show my weakness in her keep
And held my cries inside me as she opened up her wings like death
As she leaned in dragon like and opened up her icy mouth
I restrained the urge to struggle as she whispered in some rattling words
In a birdlike alien language that slithered around inside my head
And then something else transpired there that forever shall remain unheard
(To be continued)

SAN JOSE (CBS/AP) — Julius Menendez, who coached Muhammad Ali to the gold medal at the 1960 Olympics, has died. He was 90.
San Jose State University said Menendez died April 14 in Gilroy, two days before his 91st birthday.
Menendez was the head boxing coach for the United States in the 1960 Olympics in Rome when Ali, then known as Cassius Clay, won the light heavyweight division. Eddie Crook Jr. and Wilbert McClure also won gold medals for the U.S. that year.

hey there say, mouse... got the email, glad to know you are taking care, due to the heat and all...
say, love those greenland rock and bird pics...
also, today with my 93 year old friend, we SAW:
ma and pa, canada geese, and their goslings...
first pair, had older babes, not ready to fly, but losing
their fluff, and still looking awkward... and LARGE...
then, we saw, over the chainlink fence, another pair, with
much younger, small babes...
hope they we do fine and be safe, for them to all 'take flight'...
feralfae, WOW, love that fire pit...
here is mine... a tiny one, compared to your wonderful doug-creation,
but a good size WASH TUB, it is...

"I saw your wife. You're not as dumb as you look." — To President Ferdinand Marcos of the Philippines a few days before he beat Joe Frazier in the Thrilla in Manila on Oct. 1, 1975.
Same thing he said to me. Where do we collect the shoe collection?
Do you think Ali actually "collected" 29,000?
"People say I talk so slow today. That's no surprise. I calculated I've taken 29,000 punches. But I earned $57 million and I saved half of it. So I took a few hard knocks. Do you know how many black men are killed every year by guns and knives without a penny to their names? I may talk slow, but my mind is OK." — Jan. 20, 1984, while in Seattle for a benefit for Sugar Ray Seales, legally blind because of detached retinas suffered while boxing.

During re-entry, the crew of Apollo 10 reached a speed of 29,791 mph, the fastest any human has ever travelled.
By contrast, Mt. Everest is 29,029 ft high, the highest any human has ever been while still connected to Earth.

29,000 pairs of shoes
29,000 mph on re-entry
29,000 feet in altitude
And only fifty ways to leave a lover?
Nah...you can do better than that.
"We have decided these fifty climbs in North America are classics. We have created this list from on high. It shall be known as The Book."
Bone up on these fifty questions, especially if you can't get sponsorship.
I can think of another fifty if I want.
But I'm not the one looking for employment.
Fail to plan, plan to remain unemployed.
Unless you get hired by your great-aunt Murgatroyd.
http://www.glassdoor.com/blog/common-interview-questions/
(Murgatroyd was to have married a guy named Boyd, once back when, but he left her. So she never got to become Murgatroyd Boyd. Boyd left her in a void.)
I ate up all the cornbread last night. Munchies followed me all the way home from Decker's and made me do it.
Smoked out agin, paleface?
Fifty ways to have a blast with flashlights and headlamps -- aka "torches" in certain parts of NA.

Just like Muhammad Ali said, "that's owl she wrote".
Approixmately how many more than 29000 rivets would be appropriate for each tower supporting the Golden Gate Bridge?
Union made and union maintained.
Show your work.
From this, it would appear that the North Tower Riveteerz whooped up pretty badly on those South Tower Boyz.
