My first attempt at capturing an Aurora. Next time I hope I have a tripod with me. The shutter speeds are too slow to hand hold the camera. This was the best aurora I've seen in a couple of years.

Winter of 1973-1974 at Tuolumne Meadows, showing tracks being made by Limber Linda, who spent the winter care-taking the NPS buildings with Jeff Mathis and Bill Nickell.
Limber Linda of Lembert Dome,
She skied each day out of her home.
On trackless snow she would roam,
Then retire and pen a poem.
Snow is white
Jeff's eyes were blue
He liked Swix
And she did, too.

Now he's got it
