I remember Allen Loma, the trad muzax collector.

Sing us a song that was trad when your momma was seduced by your daddy named Tom.
It happened long time ago at the end of the row when the bag let go and all the cotton got rotten.
Yeah, yeah, yeah.

In other current events. The UCLA Prof killer is named Mainak Sarkar and he believed that the prof stole his computer code. Apparently, he didn't believe in lawyers. Can you blame him? Not the killing part the lawyer part.
As a rule, for reasons such as the above, I try to avoid South El Monte in particular and El Monte in general.
However,
Every since I got my new job, I couldn't get my eyebrows on fleek because Mila didn't work on the days I had off, at her last job. I've literally been carrying these caterpillars above my eyes for so long, I was afraid they were going to turn into butterflies.
To my surprise, my favorite threadist had opened up her own threading business. And after hearing the news I couldn't wait a day longer. These babies were a mess that could only be cleaned up by Mila. Not only is she good at what she does, but she's very personable and really cares about her clients. She recognized me even after three months, and I've only come to her 4 times! I will be coming back regularly, and I wish the best for Mila's business! Thanks again Mila!
Maybe Maniac should have started a computer threading business?
It's not just a gals' thing.

Eyebrows not withstanding, the plot thickens.
Police found a "kill list" at the Minnesota home of the gunman who opened fire at UCLA on Wednesday, Los Angeles Police Chief Charlie Beck told CNN affiliate KTLA. The name of the UCLA professor killed by the gunman was on the list, as was the name of another woman who police later found dead, Beck said.

WHEN I, WELL MY LAWYER, SENT OUT ROYALTY CHECK REQUESTS TO THESE FOLKS, WHAT DID WE GET BACK? STAMPS. WE DON'T WANT NO STINKIN' STAMPS.
SAME RESULTS HERE FROM THE INFAMOUS zonkey DUDES
zbrow's dreamboard. This is what the prof stole from the mainiac who actually stole it from me. Did I put him on a deadlist, no. I called my lawyer.

Barnacle geese in Greenland.
"Yer gonna die."
"No, they're gonna die. Yer gonna break your wing."
"Peep! I'm tellin' mom...when I get down there."It is sort of like wingsuiting but these birds know nothing of updrafts, etc. They just go for it. A belly-landing is good form.
The perfect launch.
Last one down buys lunch!

From David Attenborough's series on life and how the young survive.
I've forgotten the kind of hawk this is. Perhaps someone knows.
There's a feather ID website somewhere.

Well, it's too hot to do what I'd been planning, which was to join with MooseDrool and Martyna for the weekend. I was going to hook up at Curry Village this afternoon around five for pizza and camp with them, but I decided at the last minute that it's too hot for this old geezer.
While out and about runnning errands I got some kinda dizzy, even after a 45 minute sit-down in the recliner. I had to go out again, and that clinched it...I'm staying indoors today. The air in the Ditch is gonna be just as super-heated as the air here, and it's 4,000' higher. Which means I'll be taking a stupid trip to go photograph my buddy and his kid, probably crash out from ennervation, prostration, and need evacuation.
Not worth the risk. If it were ten degrees cooler I would be there.
Sorry, Moose. Left a message on your voice mail. Pizza sucks, anyway. I got a nice bunch of sour grapes at the market, along with some very good, cheap oranges and nectarines.
Have a happy birthday, Andrzej! And good luck on Goodrich Pinnacle!

Here it is Friday night in Fairybanks Alaska. I'm home from First Friday art touring, ice cream at Hot Licks, and a discussion of who is now wearing a suit, and whose beadwork is beautiful, and what plants to buy at Farmer's Market tomorrow and where to get the best rosebushes for the new flower garden.
Reading your posts and loving the images and music. Neebee! You are going to have the best garden. I am so happy for you! Thank you for sharing the photo, Mouse. I am going to try to post a couple of photos from here,
This is the back yard, where there is a circle for us around the Mountain Dragon Fire Pit, which Doug made from an end cap from the pipeline. It is also a resonant bell. This was before I had cleaned up out there.
and here is a better view of the dragons.
And Art in Fairybanks is alive and well, I am happy to report.
There is a little single-engine flying over: we are on a flight path from the airport to the bush, so a lot of small planes fly over. I love hearing them. My uncle flew out of here about 50 years ago, from the old field that is now a freeway. The plane is gone. It is quiet now, and they are off on some adventure, these midnight sun days. But for me, I have a long day tomorrow of projects and flower-buying. And flower seeds are on their way. :) So I will say sweet dreams to you all, and wish you a wonderful weekend.

A Word from lilabiene
I recently joined the Associate Board for City Kids Wilderness Project in Washington, DC. We reach 130 under-resourced students in the DC area and use incredible outdoor settings to build their resiliency, broaden their horizons, and ensure their skills for success.
Today, June 2nd we are partnering with Do More 24 to bring people together for 24 hours to support our local community and to give where we live!
City Kids is important to me because it is one small way for me to directly pay forward the kindness shown me by the climbing community and at the same time to honor the memory of my birth parents.
Your support can make it possible for imaginations to be sparked, academic success to be achieved, self-confidence to grow, and wilderness areas to be explored. Below is the link to help support City Kids through Do More 24, thank you!
http://domore24.org/npos/city-kids-wilderness-project-1
This was posted on Audrey Todd's FB page.
Thanks for taking the time to pay forward, Audrey.

With Tami and neebee and MtnMun in mind.
A gentle jolt, because none of you is getting any younger.
Thank you three for your contributions to ST over the years.
Appreciation threads are one thing.
But the odd thankful thought can be nice, too.
Like in the way a kid looks at an old marble he has dug up.
Wow! That's nice.
