Yup, that's it. Here's me without the beard:

Crusher,

Now I am curious. You were at the stonemaster reunion? I live down the street.

Yep, the same Paul Revere and Yep again. I went to Pali. Dropped out the winter of 76 and moved to Kauai. Here is another from way back. Jack Davis and I boarding our plane for Hawaii. 4 pairs of baggies, two natural progression surfboards, 16o dollars in cash and all the tuna cans I could steal from my Moms kitchen. Stayed two years and only got beat up once.

I moved to Idyllwild in 79, could we have met there?

I saw a couple of huge turkey buzzards standing near the road yesterday, doing what turkey buzzards will do. Man, those things are un-handsome!

Hey Tan,

What a coincidence. Natural Progression - wow. Loved to hang out in there and wear their T shirts and fancy myself the little surfer girl. Only body surfed at the time but then got into windsurfing towards the end of high school (on and off for the next 20 years). I wanted to move to Maui but instead went to college right after high school and work right after college (boo!). That photo of you guys at the airport sure brings back great memories of what we looked like then, and what it was all about. I have my Pali cards somewhere, I'll have to dig them out.

I didn't start climbing until about 9 years ago - learned sport and bouldering and don't do much trad (except following and cleaning). Yeah! Stonemasters Reunion - what a blast. My husband (who has climbed for a long time but wasn't in So. Cal during the "formative years" of the Stonemasters) is good friends with some of that crew. Cool!!!

This seems apropos, at least the references to growing older:

My Back Pages (Bob Dylan)

"Crimson flames tied through my ears
Rollin' high and mighty traps
Pounced with fire on flaming roads
Using ideas as my maps
"We'll meet on edges, soon," said I
Proud 'neath heated brow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Half-wracked prejudice leaped forth
"Rip down all hate," I screamed
Lies that life is black and white
Spoke from my skull. I dreamed
Romantic facts of musketeers
Foundationed deep, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Girls' faces formed the forward path
From phony jealousy
To memorizing politics
Of ancient history
Flung down by corpse evangelists
Unthought of, though, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

A self-ordained professor's tongue
Too serious to fool
Spouted out that liberty
Is just equality in school
"Equality," I spoke the word
As if a wedding vow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

In a soldier's stance, I aimed my hand
At the mongrel dogs who teach
Fearing not that I'd become my enemy
In the instant that I preach
My pathway led by confusion boats
Mutiny from stern to bow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now.

Yes, my guard stood hard when abstract threats
Too noble to neglect
Deceived me into thinking
I had something to protect
Good and bad, I define these terms
Quite clear, no doubt, somehow.
Ah, but I was so much older then,
I'm younger than that now."

Heaven knows what he was talking about. But I like the version The Byrds did.

Someday I should repost here the special-effects version of that Wallbanger photo you took.

Wild Bill--Fabulous shade of fuscia you've got going there! A real chick-magnet.

Was out in Josh on Saturday and KP and I saw two turkey vultures along the roadside--they were trying to steal a roadkill pancake from two ravens. Dang those buzzards are big!

However, in this case, size made no difference: the ravens kept the smashed squirrel delight and the vultures flew off in frustration.

Dang those buzzards are big!

That's what I thought. Hey, are those turkeys? No, they're eating roadkill, they're not turkeys. They're ginormous for sure, though.

Funny subtopic in a pictures-of-us-great-looking-Supertopians thread.

The longest single thread record is currently 679.

What if posters on ST were not CLimbers???

The last post to it was 8/8/06 by Patrick Sawyer.

It took 62.46 secs. to load.

Can it be topped? Of course.
Is it worth topping? Of course.

Will topping it break ST? Who knows?

The Fosbergs, some of the nicest people on earth, Kevin, Bobi and their beautiful children.
Some of you may remember Bobi and another gal did an all-female ascent of the Nose back in the day, pretty cool.

Fosberg flight school Killer Piller Yosemite belayed by Cade Loyd.
