Thanks again to all for the photos and for being wonderful people to meet with.

Hot in Idaho for a while. I have moved on to high-mountain hiking.

The summer monsoon has also arrived in Idaho, but it is not so intense here as in states to the south.

I did get rained out, in early afternoon yesterday, from another of Idaho's obscure and un-visited ranges.

Thanks for sharing all the great photographs everyone!

I had an awesome time, and looking back I think maybe I had more fun than i thought. It really was a really chill time where everyone was on the same page of helping out, putting up ropes, and chilling out.

A little lightning fire near "The City" appears to not currently be a threat, however another fire 100 miles north went from 7,000 acres to 31,000 acres yesterday. Big Thunderstorms have been ripping it up in South & Central Idaho, with a fair number of fires resulting.

A 30-acre fire ignited about seven miles from the City of Rocks National Reserve campground Tuesday afternoon.

That fire, called the Black Sands fire, was ignited by lightning about 4:30 p.m. Tuesday. By about 8 p.m. crews had stopped the progression of the fire and were mopping up as they built a containment line.

The fire is burning in juniper, sagebrush, and grasses. Estimated control time is 6 p.m. Friday and containment is estimated on July 19.

Five engines, a helicopter and a dozer are working the fire. No structures are threatened.

Bummer Fritz! I hope the fire is under control!

Now where did i leave off?? Sorry about the delay folks... You know.. Life... Lol

I discovered a little program called Lightroom though. It's made my life much easier and i'm quite happy with the results.

Kevin and Greg on the summit of Twin Cracks.

We spent awhile on the summit lolly gagging and when we got back to the base, we hid out in whatever meagre shade we could find and had some snacks and liquids. Then we trudged back to camp and had some lunch.

Kevin had his eye on Eagle Crack since the moment he first spotted it from camp. After lunch we all hiked up there and I didn't climb because i tweaked my elbow on Twin Cracks. So i shot some pics instead.

More nice photos, Mike! Just seeing more photos of that wonderful climbing venue makes me want to return now that my back is doing much better.

I was actually pretty bummed out due to some extreme lower back and pelvis issues during the get-together. I had a procedure done after my return that seems to have improved everything tremendously. It took nearly 5 weeks recovery time after the treatment, but I'm now able to have almost complete range of motion activities again.

So...keep these wonderful and inspirations shots coming!

Big Mike!

WOW-OH-WOW------For your photos! Mark & I hiked out to the Twin Cracks area the day after you folks climbed it, and we followed your Eagle Rock ascent from camp----just before the deluge arrived.

Stunning photos!

Greg stopped by for a short visit at my booth at the SLC Outdoor Retailer Show today!

Great to see him again!

You gents are great!

I walked out that road and watched you guys climb the first pitch. That is a real cool area and it is probably good that it doesn't get much pressure. Em hiked out there with her umbrella and all and even walked across that private property there. A bold adventure indeed! Good times.

Nice results, Big Mike. Both the climb and the shots of it.

As for no-longer BrokeDownClimber, I'm glad to hear you've mended. And the eagles say "Take it easy." Until you need to put it into gear.

Hope all goes supre-taco in Italia, amici.

Is that still in the works?

You said, Rodger, "I know Mouse has more pictures, so he's better post up!"

I confess. There are still a few left.

Thanks Roger! I'm glad to hear your back is feeling better! I could tell you were a little down at cor.. You seemed much happier at camp eating great food, drinking quality vino and conversing with everyone, then you did when we were talking to you in the shade at Breadloaves..

What was the procedure? I know a few things about broken backs unfortunately being fused from t-12 to l4.

Fritz- Thanks!! We did get a little wet that day didn't we.... Nothing major though, and we still got out the next day!

You are awesome Fritz! Thank you for such a warm welcome, your hospitality, and the effort to put this all together!! It really made it an amazing experience!

Yeah Wayno. Real cool area. A little more rustic out there. Twin cracks was a little dusty... Nothing by Squamish standards though! Lol

Em has ovaries for that!! I wish i had of got a photo of her doing it!

Mouse, my friend. Thanks! We still need to get you going with raw. Do you have at least windows 7? This is a free product from Canon that they just totally revamped!!

If not, here's an older version. http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Canon-Digital-Photo-Professional-Download-78921.html

That should get you started..

Ok. I got a couple more photos done from camp that night.

My camp spot under the sisters.

Fritz and Greg on the prowl while the group pow wows.

A few gents hanging out at the truck.

Chatting after dinner.

These next three images are all very similar but i really like them all because you can see different people's faces in each shot.. Scroll fast it'll be like a sequence.

Some of the boys and I wandered off to our camp for a bit.

Back at the group site, we got a little rain, but Phylp had a solution...

I think I look quite natty with the blue plate on my head. It could start a trend. Plus it was my dirty dinner plate so I was cleaning it at the same time.
