Tage Erlander was of Forest Finn origin. He was Swedish Prime Minister 1946-69. As earlier written, no Prime Minister in any democratic country has had a longer tenure than his 23 years.
Here's some photos from the life of Tage and his wife Aina. Aina was a school teacher. She was teaching mathematics, physics and chemistry and loved by the children.

I love this thread. Never had a look before, for some unknown reason. Until today I'd never seen Olav H. Hauge's poetry - it is wonderful, and I learned more than I knew before about Yule...and 20th century history...just so much here. Thanks to all posters.

I would actually love to spend a few weeks there in Feb or Mar
but I doubt I could trick La Femme into it. :-(
