Hi Mouse,
Adventurers go out and look for the challenging ascents, whether rock or spirit. Or oceans or stars. We are the ones who hear the soft song of the unknown, and we follow the harmony that resonates within us. Or we are not adventurers.
if we were not adventurers, we would not be talking here among others who explore and adventure.
Of course it gets harder from here, but the view gets better. :) I think the rewards are worth the tough pitches, and besides, sometimes, sometimes, I discover a spot of level, wide, south-facing ledge when I least expected it. A sanctuary for the spirit and the body. I know they don't last forever, but it is a comfort to know the warm ledges are there.

I was feeling immensely patriotic the pathos that seeing and hearing the Boy's singing
the national anthem (that needs capitals but that's a different ball team.) really choked me.
I got misty eyed and had to take a Duce.

Her simple sweetness was so much of a gift in a summer of my extended youth.
She showed up with a foil, a Kidman like blond who towered ore' me ,my eyes met the curl of her neck.
but she had a over hang to die for to climb it was sure to be the feat of the summer.
After a taste I passed, and then the two returned a third time! We climbed at my secret spot watched the sunset intertwined, and spent that night sharing! Sweet Bliss I had Arrived . . .

I had tasted the corn fed blond type repeatedly. and was a bit board with the broad cushion and milky thighs.
The lure of the exotic, the excitement in her that she the Gaurd chick had scored the prize!
Made the summer all the more passionate, an emotional share.(there.. it was the bestEver)
I've never not said so for all the world to know I Was out on the"Bank" the day that she visited last!
We missed each other ; She at my front door being stood up, me out on MillBrook being sandbagged.
Took more thana forty footer off Square Meal I regret not repeating a climb named Schemeil
and being home to meet her. That was my longest fall(link Super Topo thread)
still falling.,,,
she felt the summer had passed I had served and sustained her. Given her the confidence to man up and lead 5.7 and in the gunks that was5.8 almost every climb.
I will say that my memories of that summer of guiding and those three women
(soo much to tell of that thirdgoyle) are the sweet spot and stand out only pailing to my current Love.

Not your father's (nor mine for that matter) PT Cruiser.
Lightweight aluminun, 55 lumen, inexpensive, L.E.D. flashlight. Apparently, although 55 is better than a lot of L.E.D. flashlights it still is not great, but you can see where you're stepping. You can buy a 350 lumens light for $30 vs this one for $4.
Excellent for when those 22-mile hikes get started after noon and it's dark trying to find your way home. Mountain Lion repellant? Who knows. M went ahead and ordered the big can of bear spray just in case.
EDIT:
Well I just bid on a 500 lumen model - stay tuned. Guess what? It's from China. OK final price was $5.50 free shipping. Wonder when it will arrive.

Alot easier to buy than a flame thrower that's for sure. Aluminum, light weight. Couldn't get a lumens number.
EDIT: I've just been informed that the 20 oz. bottle of Srirachi is only $3.99. I wonder how far it shoots. BTW, where is Ron Anderson?
