Yes. Chalk that one up to Skeeter.

It was a simple thing, an error I'll never make again. I forgave him, as I have learned to do from reciting the Lord's Prayer.

Some computer literates will appreciate this lecture on how the internet works. Some may not. I pity the fools who skip this video.

I am in big trouble this football season, but the problem is so first world that I hesitate to put it here rather than in that thread.
I am and have been a Forty-Niners fan since Oakland pulled out of itself and then took itself off to LA to have the bastard child of Al Davis. He's a Hall of Fame prick in my opinion. Devil take him, despite the Lord's Prayer.
The other half of the problem is that I became a big fan of John Elway when he was at Stanford and this carried over to an enthusiasm for the Broncos. I fully believe one's entitled to an AFC favorite and and NFC favorite. You can see my problem, which has happened before, resulting in the complete jamming of the ball down the Broncos' throat.
I wish just once that the Super bowl would become a mud bowl, but that will never happen. They haven't paved Paradise yet, though.

Concow Creek. One of my Liz's favorite spots.
After we married, she became a rabid Steve Young fan. She won a lot of money in betting pools at work, too.
She lived on the Feather in a school bus with her two boys and Rick. He looked for gold and they loved it. Lotta hippies around here.
She was a latin hippy, though, and we made up jars and jars of dible salsa under her mom's supervision. And hundreds of jars of tomatoes. We listened to some salsa, too. but not this one.

hey there say, mouse...
hearing the mention of salsa...
in south texas, yep, it was salsa, the ol' tomato/tomatoe kind,
and:
then we all all the music from mexico kind...
and the tex-mex, tejano, and with a variety of more kinds...
cumbia music is a must, if you love to dance...
(cumbia tropical)! MY ALL TIME favorite, :)
:)
and: the old fashioned conjunto!
and: banda
merenques (spelling?)
last note, i just saw you needed some, what was that???
ba ba boom, cha cha, or something????
well, i just accidently hear an old song, while going through
looking for some christmas songs:
'blame it on the basanova' ... fun old song, :))
all these wonderful beats, make folks happy, he world over,
when it comes to dance...
bruce lee, they said, loved to 'cha cha'...
many others love music from south amercia...
central america and then the andes...
then mexico, the huabango! (spelling?)
mariachis, rancheros, ballads, polka-mexicano style,
they even have, in mexico the ol' 'umpa pa, umpa pa'
type bands--forgot what they are called, it is an unmistakeable style:
loud cymble type noise, drum, mixed with horns, and heavy base beat..
will try to find an example, later...
EDIT: OKAY, I THINK, THIS MAY BE:
"banda"
(which i mentioned above... i loved hearing hearing it,
but did not know if THAT was a 'title' actually, of the
said music, or just a slang term...)
well, just 'jazzing up your night time here, on the 18th,
but--with out all THAT jazz, and adding salsa type pazazz, instead...
;)

Hey mouse, one of the alternate selections on the video you posted speaks to me. The one with Muddy playing baby please don't go while being joined onstage by the stones.
My brother in law was present at that, or a very similar event. It was in Chicago. During one of the stones tours 78?, 81? Anyway they couldn't get tickets so they went to club to wAtch Muddy. It was packed, but the table next to them was empty, reserved.... You can guess what happened next.
Though he never got to a tour date that time around,I think Kevin was way more psyched seeing muddy and the stones in a south side blues club, at arms length, then he ever would have been at any stadium gig.

Music can't seem to be contained in borders. It starts somewhere, like Souf Texas, then works out the cracks and holes via your ears and you take it with you.
If you need to "blame" or "thank" someone for this method of bringing joy, that would be Euterpe, the "Giver of Delight." Her dad's the "Bringer of Mirth."
Los Lonely Boys

This family group was introduced to me by Joe Nixon, my buddy who can't play bass any more or sing anymore. He had three strokes before I met him. He's had a fourth now. He's stuck out in Anberry permanent people storage (Merry Christmas, very mucho) with the Rev's dad, Lem.
So I'm not surprised that conjunto came out of you, neebee. Wish I could show you my smile when I read that bit! hell, for that matter, if I could, I'd reach out and grab you by the waist and try to dance! AT which I'm just the av. wh. boy.

Their father, Ringo, played in a grupo de conjunto called Los Falcones.

From the appr. thread which sprung up (ty, neebee)--
He has just share a small gift with me, that i wanted to add a note to here:
this small gift is made from a gal that was in his local area...
always good to share how and where to find these neat things that
are part of life that sometimes get overlooked by the
HUGE businesses... *the gal is an artist...he can JUMP in here and explain better, and perhaps post a picture or note...
On our behalf, since neebee is who she is
and we've benefited more than we know,
I selected a small tear-drop shaped neck pendant
to send to Lizzie on behalf of us all.
It contains sprockets,
watch gears, loosely assembled
but contained in that "eccentric" shape.
It represents our cybertown to me.
Wear it in style, young lady.
And Merry Christmas!
Und now is the time we dance. Karl-Heinz?

THAT was beautiful. Seeing two men embrace in such a way is heartening. It shows something. Love and respect, mainly. They are brothers, right?
I got to thinking about evasion of responsibility. My heart's sore, but lighter having done so. My stepson has a family of four. I have met just the older two boys. At last I have opened a line of communication there and have accepted my share of the blame for having cut myself off from the step-grand-kids. I sorta hate that word--all kids deserve love, all kids deserve the same as any others, the stepithet should be discontinued.
I had so little to offer for so long now, it's all under the bridge now. Being part of the Taco family has helped this come to pass, I'm certain.
My idea is that I may be able to influence the two older ones, since they know me, to try to climb. Not to push, but to offer it. I've bought a brand new rope to that end. I don't want any kind of safety objections, or anything else, to come out of the mouth of their mom or dad. He was the skater, remember, and owned Bueno Boarding and influenced many kids himself.
Pie in the sky, I'm gonna die.
