Yafer? Is that mine and Guar's pal Yafer? Well Sh#t Howdy brother! It has been a long time!! :) Tweaked the colours a little but Guar guaranteed this was when I fired this beauty created by our long lost superstar...Supposed third ascent as Mike got the immediate second. Back in the day Guargoyle and I myself used to run mega laps on "The Apes" getting ready for some stiff bouldering!!! Time sure does fly...Just me my "Bubba Brush" and "Ghetto Blaster"...No pads back then, even though my back sure would have welcomed them... :) Fun at Stoney for a misbegotten Woodsonite...

Man it was bad. A very unfortunate gentleman fell from the boot flake or just above. I saw him at the boot flake & turned to deal with my dogs. Heard a sound turned & (I was up by the road) saw him hit the side of his pad - The pad went side ways & his legs slide out.
Compound fracture of both the tibia & fibula just above the ankle.
Really bad. I hope they can save his foot.
I wish the best for him. He handled it well.

Man that's grim. My best wishes to that guy. I don't like to finish off Boot Flake anymore, just for fear of something like that happening. After blowing out my knee a couple of times in my early 20s, I just have a hard time justifying the risk.

It was GREAT to meet you as well, Pyro! Thanks for posting up today's picture and the historic ones as well. My apologies to all, especially Guyman, for having to leave earlier than I would have liked. I'll be in and around Yosemite a lot this year and may attend the Joshua Tree gig April 1-2 as well as Facelift in Sept., plus various other trips to the L.A. Area, including March 18-21 give or take a few days. I look forward to meeting and making many new friends this year. Please don't be shy.

Well what a great morning. At around 8:45- 9:15 I saw an Owl. It was completely white, flew from the back wall to the eucalyptus trees east of pyramid rock. I also saw two Red Tails flying over boulder 1 & one Coopers hawk Between Turlock & Lions head.
It helps put to rest the image from Tuesday.

Mark, we were walking from Turlock to Spiral Traverse one evening and a white barn owl goes flying overhead, with about 50 black crows dive bombing him. Looked like something out of Lord of the Rings!
