He is well liked because he doesn't talk about himself all the time. He talks about his team and his teammates. Rare anymore.

^^^^DK what are you talking about? He was just good. Didn't really like him but he always made his teams better. More so than anyone else in the last 20 years. Who is your candidate?

I stood next to Larry at O'Hare once. Besides being really tall he is
really white, and polite, not that those necessarily go together.
While being ushered to our booth at the Whiskey BITD we walked by a booth
occupied by Wilt. How many babes can fit in a booth with Wilt? Four!

All I can say for sure is that Michele was not one of them, but to get to the matter at hand, who was playing that night, The Doors?

Oddly, I think it was Hoyt Axton who you wouldn't think would be high
on Wilt's list. LOL!

Could give you some of the low-down, but better not.
Interesing coincidence. I saw Hoyt at the Palomino several nights in a row around that time. The guy next door was a DJ and gave us a whole bunch of tickets.

and Pop on Tim Duncan?
"You don't see Timmy beating his chest as if he was the first human being to dunk the basketball, as a lot of people do these days. He's not pointing to the sky. He's not glamming to the cameras. He just plays, and we've seen it for so long it's become almost mundane. But it's so special that it has to be remembered."

and what does the NBA say?
"The NBA is a global sports and media business built around three professional sports leagues: the National Basketball Association, the Women's National Basketball Association, and the NBA Development League. The league has established a major international presence with games and programming in 215 countries and territories in 49 languages, and NBA merchandise for sale in more than 125,000 stores in 100 countries on 6 continents. NBA rosters at the start of the 2015-16 season featured 100 international players from 37 countries and territories. NBA Digital's assets include NBA.com and the NBA app, which achieved record traffic during the 2014-15 season, as well as NBA TV. The NBA has created one of the largest social media communities in the world, with more than one billion likes and followers globally across all league, team, and player platforms. Through NBA Cares, the league addresses important social issues by working with internationally recognized youth-serving organizations that support education, youth and family development, and health-related causes."

Warriors vs. Lakers this Wednesday (new wrinkles - KD and MeadowLuke Walton). Game is sold out. I think it's on TV.
Meanwhile, a 6' 6" guy can dunk at age 39? Huh. I'm supposed to be amazed?
Bring it back in thirty years.

Warriors beat Lakers 123-112. Brandon Ingram looked good. Even blocked a Durant shot at the rim (bad foul call).
Ingram (190) needs to get closer to Durant's (240) weight.
Comparisons abound. What does Brandon say?
"i'm not him"

He made seven of 10 shots, two of three from three-point range. He scored a team-high 21 points and had four assists, two steals and a team-high seven rebounds.
I call that HUGE for this early in the preseason.
