You're EMO about all of the bad sh#t that hasn't happened yet and probably never will.

You love to take "waxing poetic BS" to the next level here. Very self-serving

Politard crankl00ns here are in a constant state of delusion and panic.

Blind arrogance is the reason you are in such a desperate state.

You're EMO about all of the bad sh#t that hasn't happened yet and probably never will

My wife just said no yesterday to a postdoc she was about to hire because of guidance from NIH on her existing grants. That's moved from probably never will to definite. This field is not like others where you fire someone and replace them the next day. It's a year-long hiring cycle and with this decision she loses 20% of her capacity for innovation.

If this was about hurting a small elite part of America to restore a nation full of assembly-line manufacturing workers, well I could rationalize that. It would be better overall for more people. But we are destroying a primary engine of prosperity and growth for our country, and there is nothing sustainable coming in its place.

My intention here was to put a face on another aspect of our country that is being adversely impacted by the decisions of this administration. It's not about the laws of nature or geo-political or economic circumstances beyond the control of our leadership. Frankly it's just dumb decision-making by our leaders.

Ha ha ha ha. This is how they'll rationalize it. From Rawstory.com, an admitted liberal website, but still, data is data.

A Tennessee woman who backs President Donald Trump credits God and the Republican health care bill — which hasn’t been voted into law — for her family’s dramatically lower insurance costs.

Charla McComic’s son recently lost his job, and his health-insurance premium dropped from $567 per month to $88, which she described as “a blessing from God” and a gift from the new president, reported the Washington Post.

The 52-year-old former first-grade teacher thinks the change is due to tax credits that would be offered under the so-called “Trumpcare” law, if and when it’s approved by Congress and signed into law — but the price drop is actually a feature of former President Barack Obama’s Affordable Care Act.

Workers who lose their jobs and employer-based health care coverage may enroll in Obamacare, which offers coverage based on income or possibly Medicaid for those with little or no income — like McComic’s son.

McComic, who attended Trump’s rally this week in Nashville with four family members, told the Post she’s not worried that her 33-year-old son or 3-year-old granddaughter will lose their Medicaid coverage under the GOP plan.

“So far, everything’s been positive, from what I can tell,” she told the newspaper. “I just hope that more and more people and children get covered under this new health-care plan.”

McComic, who campaigned for Trump with some relatives by forming a motorcade and driving through their hometown shouting his name, said she’s never trusted a president as much as the real estate developer and former reality TV star.

“We said: ‘Who else would we do this for, besides Trump?’” McComic said. “We agreed on the Lord. We would stand here for the Lord, but that’s about it.”

Prosperity for whom? pharmacutical companies who " cherry pick" that research are making bank . We don't need more charity for Martin shkreli.

nutagain- I feel for ya- but you have shown nothing but contempt for working class Americans whose jobs have been lost to globalization. It's telling how you react now that it's YOUR family who might be affected by misguided policy's.

I don't support trump. I am pointing out that the people who could care less if other peoples jobs are lost are suddenly upset now that THIER earnings might be affected by misguided policy's.

Like a blue collar worker out of a job- if you are reliant on federal funds to make money then it's YoUR fault for not being smart enough when those funds dry up
...Right?

Meals on Wheels?

Who in the hell zeroes out Meals on Wheels? Who decides that a program that spends $3 million to help volunteers feed the elderly and infirm in their communities is something that the country can no longer afford? Who are the men in the meetings who make this kind of call? What are their names? Trot them out so the country knows who they are. C'mon, David Brooks, find out who they are and explain why National Greatness Conservatism has a problem with starving elderly shut-ins.

This Is the Ending Conservatives Always Wanted

My mother used to receive meals on wheels as an elderly "shut-in" with very limited finances. It was a big-thing to her.

Two months in and Trump has managed to insult two of our closest English speaking allies, countries that have fought with the U.S. since WWI. You know that beneath the diplomatic language they are thinking he is an unhinged moron.

How about some basic competence?

Trump won big in parts of rural America. Now he wants to eliminate 3 agencies dedicated to helping them.

In the president's budget outline, none of the rural development agencies — the Appalachian Regional Commission, the Delta Regional Authority, the Northern Border Regional Commission — would receive any money. In effect, it would eliminate these programs, which are completely subsidized by the federal government.

Subsidies for airline service to small communities is on the chopping block. The majority of the areas that received these subsidies voted for Trump.

U.S. prepared to take military action against N. Korea, if necessary, Tillerson says

The Trump administration gave its clearest signal yet that it would consider military action against North Korea, with Secretary of State Rex Tillerson saying that “all options are on the table.” North Korea has said that it is working on an intercontinental ballistic missile capable of striking the U.S. mainland and has shown clear progress in its missile program in tests over the past year.

You have to give Trump credit. He has already submitted a budget to Congress that is designed to pay for this new war! And the middle class and poor will pay for it.
