WTF? The jaundiced nerve of the posters to this place
Ten post of tribute? That is an insult
Wait a bit Eight post or four if you don't count MFM, Toking, And me twice!?
Well
If you fail to respect the great ones when they pass they will forget you as well!
For all the hours and tears I shed to the sweet Lucille and the king I am forever grateful dead!
And as a head I know who buttered my bread and made it so I had some bread that led to all that I am
The climbing and the Music of my life's' movie, seem scripted to the sound track of BB King
And the Grateful Dead.

About all the sunlight we're gonna see for a while. Good. And this is how the scene looks outside if you look up.
So I'm goin' back to bed.

Nobody dependin' on me for anything today.

I did see that the hatched squab is no longer in the nest. There's one egg left. I think this is totally natural, that a pigeon can clean its nest of sickly or unwanted critters.

One of the things which makes us different as humans, though it is accepted in many places--even in old Greece "exposure" was practiced.

Something to think about, at any rate.

nun and slim

Back in 1963, LOUIE LOUIE by the Kingsmen was very close to becoming a #1 Billboard hit. There was one song that stopped LOUIE LOUIE from reaching that special destination. “Dominique” by the Singing Nun was the big roadblock that stood in the way of LOUIE LOUIE.

I still feel Fr. Serra was a part of the Spanish military-industrial complex.

As far as Pope Francis is concerned, his sainthood is a done deal.

This forever makes me no longer a Catholic boy.

Such blinders, like the wings of a nun's headgear.

The missions themselves are wonderful to look at, good for the tourist industry, and historic.

But they only represent repression and imperialism to me.

May have spoken too soon: "The upcoming canonization of Junípero Serra"

NOT much of a complement/compliment here:

Whatever their faults, no Spanish or Mexican missionary in California ever came close to uttering the refrain that was heard among 19th-century North Americans, that "the only good Indian is a dead Indian." And nothing on the scale of Sand Creek or Wounded Knee ever occurred in connection with the California missions.

It wasn't an easy process to "civilize" the indigenous people of California.

The perps were just more thorough and the locals were not especially warlike in the main.

And the missionaries were simply doing their job.

And the settlers were merely protecting "their" land.

Why bother to learn of these things when life is so cool in the OC, the hills of Marin, and Yosemite?

A compassionate pope would admit the wrongs done, as in the case of the slaughtered Jewish population of Europe in WWII, where there are apologies which have been made.

In no way does this man Serra deserves to become a saint.

Regarding the church: (note lower case) I was taught by some super cool nuns, but also found a lot of "covering up" going on as I got older and began to understand more of the problems in the church. I was always a better Quaker, anyway.

Easter Proclamation Abolishes Papacy

Very interesting times, but I think lovingkindness and creativity, cooperation and voluntarism will carry humans through this. There are a remarkable number of good people here on Earth.

In human history, this just past era of 500 years or so may be referred to as the era of the last Reformation, and now I think we are entering the next Renaissance. What an amazing time to be alive! I think the media will try to keep us in fear, so I feel pretty strongly that we must hold fast to Faith, and not give in to all the fear mongering.

Anyway, MFM, you have managed to gather lots of Renaissance people around you. And I am not sure that guy would make a good LEO: I'd expect more honesty. But I know I am naive about things sometimes.

Gnome, I missed all that beautiful music, mostly. Sorry I did not post a tribute, but I don't know who most of them are. I did get to hear B.B. King play live once. I wish I could say I appreciate Blues. I barely appreciate jazz. I am a totally wonky classical person, having been reared with it from an impressionable tender age. And of course Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash when I was with the Texas contingent of the family. :) Sizzling steaks on the grill and "Ring of Fire". Many in my family, having some Scottish blood, are "Red-headed Strangers" and some are truly strange, but lovable.

The mountain bluebirds are nesting on the other side of my Medicine Wheel. The robins are building a nest on a security light, and I am leaving them alone. The flicker is in the new house, so no longer destroying my house walls. Cold and wet here today, so there is a fire going.

Back for a couple more hours of studio time. neebee, watch for an email.

Thank you

EDIT
F. F.
That I have seen and think.
Hmm classical! I need n education in the form,
I was brought up with classical strings and symphony and all.
It puts me right to Sleep so very dangerous in the car.
Where I now listen to music most of the time.
A very funny thing;
Is that my 11yr old boy loves classical, and chooses it over any form of music
They , a girl as well a bit older
Call the dadd-0's music the sound of squishing cats.

Not all, they like James Taylor and Joni, Crosby Stlls & Nash Eagles
My daughter likes American Pie and A Horse With No Name.

When I shared your share with my pissed off betrothed, she echoed your sentiments and wanted to know if you knew how truly peaceful almost all the tru'mercans , Tumericans, (abetter name than Indians )
were.
Almost to a tribe, in areas of plenty, squabbles between tribes were rare and worked out over serious games of capture the flag or Lacrosse ,

Wtf help hello? Hello is there any body out there?. . Wtf . .

based on the original track,
"Domino"

Don't wannna discuss it
Think it's time for a change
You may get disgusted
Start thinkin' that I'm strange

In that case I'll go underground
Get some heavy rest
Never have to worry
About what is worst or what is best
(Get it)

Oh oh Domino (it's all right)
Roll me over, Romeo, there you go
Lord, have mercy
I said oh-oh, Domino
Roll me over, Romeo, there you go
Say it again
I said oh-ooh-oh Domino
I said oh-ooh-ooh-oh Domino
(Dig It)

[Instrumental]

There's no need for argument
There's no argument at all
And if you never hear from him
That just means he didn't call
Or vice versa
That depends on where ever you're at
(All right)
And if you never hear from me
That just means I would rather not

(Hit it)
Oh oh Domino
(All right)
Roll me over Romeo, there you go
Lord have mercy
I said, oh oh Domino
Roll me over Romeo, there you go
(Hey, all right)
Say it again
Oh-oh-ooh-ooh Domino
(Hey, hit it)
I said oh-ooh-ooh Domino

Well, Mr. DJ I just wanna hear
Some rhythm and blues music
On the radio
On the radio
On the radio

Uh-uh, all right
Uh-uh, all right
Uh-uh, all right
Uh-uh

Hear the band

[Instrumental]

One more time

[Instrumental to end]

I don't know about all that determinist an undeterministic claptrap, but I only believe in straight up random chaos and disorder. People in church told me from day one that I was going straight to hell unless I did something about it. For having to put up with all that BS I figure God, if there were one, must owe me something big time. So he better send me a bunch of sheep down there and make sure I got some wide boots and some Velcro gloves for when I get there.

Never.

It's all been said before.

I have an open line to the cosmos in my head.

What goes around comes around.

or a hot wind others,
or a gentle breeze

Went out in the Lion Country (OC) park once and watched the vet knock down a giraffe (with tranquilizer gun). Be careful, that's a long fall. Cleaned it's teeth and it was back on it's feet in no time. Ron Anderson was shittin his pants.

This is starting to hit home pretty hard. I'm thinking this was 40+ years ago.
